“When God Rewrites Your Plans!”

Wow! It’s been a long time. Much has happened in my life, and I’m sure it has in yours too, since I last wrote a post. But through it all, God remains faithful to me. My daily mantra is “I trust God!” I may not post every week, but we will see. This past Sunday, I attended my second church service with my daughter. I have two home-away churches I enjoy attending when I’m not at my home church. Something the pastor said resonated with me. He said something like, “When God rewrites your plans, do you still praise Him?”

Wow! That was profound to me. We all make plans for things we want to do daily or in the future. Right now, people are making plans for the upcoming holidays. Planning is fine, but I always say, “Lord willing, or if the Lord says the same.” Why? Because “When God Rewrites Your Plans!” things can change in the twinkling of an eye.

However, the changes may be unexpected; will they alter your relationship with God? Does it mean that He is not caring or loving or faithful? Should it alter your praise? I can answer that wholeheartedly, “No!” As Job said, “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him….”God is sovereign, and He knows His plans for us. Sometimes the plans are in place so our lives can glorify God before others. No matter what we experience, whether it feels good or not, God will never leave us alone.

Our challenges bring on His victories if we continue to glorify God. Is it easy when we are hurting, going through an illness, or something else that may be devastating? Not always, but it can be easier if we remember God’s faithfulness and how He has always been there, working for our good. “When God Rewrites Your Plans!” But not the way you expect; keep praising Him anyway.

As I end, let me be transparent a little bit. My life story took an unexpected turn from what I thought it would be. Whew! Nevertheless, God did not leave me in the dark. More than once, He has made it clear to me that my life is meant to be a testimony to others, and oh my, I do have one. Those who know me well know that I continue to praise my Savior and trust Him. Instead of tears, I have joy because He keeps performing miracles in my life that only He can do. With certainty, I will let nothing separate me from His divine love. If the Lord were not on my side, where would I be? Think about it: “When God Rewrites Your Plans!” What do you do? Embrace it! Until the next time, blessings!

    Sis Jackie,
Happy you’re back! You were surely missed! However, you returned with this powerful blog that let’s me know that you were never really gone!
Yes, GOD rewrites the plan that he has for us all the time, at his will. No soul is overlooked, excused or exempted from the life-plan that GOD has divinely designed for each of us.
We must be steadfast in our faith and trust of him through the most challenging times just as you did/do Sis Jackie!
And remember that GOD’S plan and Love for us far exceeds what we can imagine. “Let Go And Let GOD”
    He never waivers!
