“What Will You Choose?”

Life is full of choices. Is that a good thing? Yes, most times I would say, but sometimes it would be great not to decide and have someone choose for us. For example, Adam chose to go against what God instructed him to do. He decided to listen to Eve instead. Just think, if God had forced him to obey rather than allow him to disobey His words, we would not be in the predicament we are in today. Everything would be perfect. No pain, no death, no heartaches or disappointment to trouble our lives. But, God will never forcefully make us obedient to His Word. He will not make us faithful to Him. So, “What Will You Choose?”

Primarily, God let us choose to love and honor Him or to go against His principles. We first have to choose Him to be our Savior and allow Him to lead and guide our lives daily. I have always said that if we honor God, He will honor us. He is so faithful to His Word and promises. When our daily decisions praise God, we will reap bountiful blessings that eyes have not seen, nor ears heard. Therefore, “What Will You Choose?”

It is pretty simple, my Sisters, will we allow the enticements and seeming joys of this world to cause us to divert our choice of serving God to serving the superficial things of this world? Do we remember in times of indecision that choosing Jesus is the best thing we could ever do? Sometimes, I know it is difficult for Christian women to honor God with their life if it means being alone. Who wants to be without love and companionship? Not I, or any of us, but the things of this world are temporal; life afterward is eternal. Something to think about, do you think so? I know it’s hard because life alone without the companionship you may desire can be disheartening. But, so worth the sacrifice if needed. “What Will You Choose?”

Lastly, don’t get weary in well-doing, don’t leave God when it seems that leaving Him is the only way to your happiness. It is not. Hold on and keep trusting God even if it means for this season walking alone. I have not been transparent for a long time, so let me be now. Some present choices challenge me and would undoubtedly offer temporal happiness, but is that what I truly want in the long run? No, indeed, no matter the cost or what I have to give up, I choose God. “What Will You Choose?”

In conclusion, if you are in the clutches of indecision concerning matters, especially of the heart, reach out to those who are spiritual and give you sound, biblical advice. Remember, you never have to walk this earthly road alone. There is always a ram in the bush to support us. Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number. Jeremiah 2: 32. I’ll be back next week with a new post, “When the Pain No Longer Hurts!”

Be encouraged, and God bless!
