No one enjoys having something stolen from them. Regardless of how small or insignificant an item may appear, it is of value to the owner. Nevertheless, material things one can purchase or restore if taken. But, when someone captures your heart and breaks it, restoration is not as simple. Sometimes loneliness and desperation drive an individual to be careless and let their guard down. Guarding one’s heart is essential in this day and time. “Stop the Thief!”
In today’s unnormal time, most individuals desire companionship to ease the struggles of life. As we continue to live in this pandemic age that has brought pain and heartache, we daily see much loss of life and despair. Therefore, it can be easy to seek consolation through any means even though we know it’s not for our best. As I sit writing this post, I think of the many women who have taken a chance at love, only to gain disappointment. Although the Bible tells us to be anxious for nothing putting it into effect can be harrowing. But, so necessary if we want to, “Stop the Thief!”
In short, the devil robs us of love, joy, and peace of mind. Even though it may be hard to do, I challenge my sisters who desire a solid, loving relationship to let it go and succumb to God. Wow! I hear your question. Why? My answer is, Why not? I was speaking with someone recently who I know would love to be in a loving relationship. In the conversation, the person expressed the busyness of their current schedule, leaving no time to seek a love interest. Within myself, I said this is when God can work. Leaving everything in His hands will lead us to more self-fulfillment.
In conclusion, trusting God can hinder the attacks on our life. Ladies, we must take a stand, focus on things above, and God will add unto our life what we desire in due season. If He doesn’t, it’s not because He can’t; it’s because He has a plan. The devil comes to kill, steal and destroy. “Stop the Thief!” and allow God to work. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. Psalms 9:10. I’ll be back next week with a new post, “No Longer a Mess!”
Be encouraged, and God bless!
Sister Jackie
Amen! I have learned that it is wise to Guard one’s heart in all human relationship situations. I’ve learned that it is wise for me to use this principle in all of my relationships with others, whether it be with family, friend or foe,…for it works out not only for my good but for others too. For even if it’s not of malicious intent, a heartache, a heartbreak, it all HURTS, no matter who the thief is!
Thank you for sharing, “Stop The Thief”, for this thief, this heart-breaker, has and is causing much heartache in the land, and it is good to know that the wise can let God handle this ruthless, heartless thief! “STOP THE THIEF”!!!
