“Pushing Through!”

Recently, one of my dear sisters at my church was checking in on me to see how I am doing. I also inquired how she and her family are doing. She replied, “All is well. Pushing through.” I thought about those two simple words, “Pushing Through!” They bring many thoughts to mind. During my illness, I had to push through to get to the other side of my healing and rehabilitation. Pushing involves work, sometimes physical and other times mental. Regardless of how or what we do, the essence of it all is that we do what must be done to keep moving forward. “Pushing Through!”

Let me encourage you today, dear readers. Whatever you are going through, you can make it if you allow God to be the lead. Our failures and mistakes come when we go our own way. The voice of God will speak to us and direct us if we will listen and obey. He giveth strength to the weak, the feeble, and those who are suffering. After He strengthens you, the work is left up to you. Keep going even when you don’t feel like it. Crawl if you must, but persevere. Hold on to the thinnest thread and don’t let go.”Pushing Through!”

I recall the Sunday before my admittance to the hospital. I was one of the morning speakers at my church. When I say I had to literally have help walking into the sanctuary, I kid you not. The pain I was experiencing was severe. Why did I go to church that morning? Because God gave me a message to give to somebody. I did not know who at the time, but he sent a confirmation. Without a doubt, when God tells us to do something, it often will not be easy. That is when we must continue “Pushing Through!”

Push, push, push, whether you feel like it or not. Victory comes through the pressing and the pushing. Don’t give up or get disheartened. God sees, and He knows. He just needs us to demonstrate our commitment and faithfulness to Him in every area of our lives. Hence, if the journey gets hard, push; if you must walk alone without a friend, push. Nothing that is easy to achieve will yield great gains. Each year brings new challenges and issues, but we know who holds tomorrow. I hope you are encouraged during these difficult days of life to keep “Pushing Through!” We have all gone too far to turn around, flop down, and waddle on the ground. He only is my rock and my salvation:he is my defence: I shall not be moved. Psalm 50:6. I’ll return next week with a new post, “Be Kind!”

Be encouraged, and God bless!

I too understand pushing through. The times of selling my home and finishing school have been stressful, and just received an email this morning or yesterday that really has a need for God’s intervention. So yes, we must push through these difficult times. You have encouraged me on many occasions and for that I am thankful.

With God’s help and guidance, we can certainly push through. Don’t give up and stop. You pushed, and you made it through with God’s help! Congratulations, my sister! God bless you and keep you in His loving care.
