Another Mother’s Day is here again. This day is one of the most memorable days of the year for me. Even though my precious mother, Elvera Crawford, is no longer here physically on earth, her legacy remains within me. She taught me how to be a lady, a good wife and mother, and a minister of the gospel. Oh, how I miss her so very much. Sometimes, I still call out to her and ask her to speak to God on my behalf. Lord, I know I need to let her rest, but if anyone can have the ear of God, it is her. “Happy Mother’s Day 2024!”
Well, today, if you are a mother, you have one of the world’s best and most challenging jobs. No manual can tell you every step to take in parenting, but the Bible is a resource you can rely on to get you through the challenging times. I love being a mother, mother in love, and one step up; I love being a grandmother. Oh, what joy those three grandchildren give to me! Happy Mother’s Day 2024!”
As I end today, I wish every mother, grandmother, birth mother, adopted mother, spiritual mother, and aunts or cousins who take on motherly roles a wonderful day. I am sending love to all my “other” sons and daughters who so lovingly call me Mama Jackie. I am honored to be your “other” mom. Furthermore, I am grateful for the spiritual mother God gave me, Mother Marjorie Edwards. Her love and support flow so freely and unconditionally. I love her to life. I am genuinely grateful, too, for the love of my Godmother, Mother Queenie Bee. God bless her.
