Sometimes, we move so fast to get to a specific place in life, but we don’t get there any quicker. We must learn that “Distance Over Speed!” is more important. Any journey that we take in life covers a distance. Along the way, roads may be bumpy, impassable, rugged, and more challenging than we anticipate. Therefore, speeding to get there may be quite detrimental. For example, many Christian single women desire to marry or be in a meaningful relationship.
Nevertheless, speeding fast in a relationship may cause you to miss some red flags. Otherwise, what I am saying is slow down. Take the time to get to know the other person as much as possible. Will you learn everything about them? No. You can understand and date someone for many years and still learn something new about them ten years later! But going the distance, whatever it is, will allow you to get to know the person better, and even more, they get to learn of you. “Distance Over Speed!’
Today, life is more challenging than ever, and we don’t need to add any more stress. Set goals for yourself, ask God to help you plan, and then allow Him to work on the plans. Because He loves us, the process to get where we need to go might be lengthy. Along the way, He can uncover many things that are blind to our eyes and hearts. Trust the speed He sets for you. He will never give you more than you can bear. He doesn’t move too slowly or fast. Hence, He is an on-time God! Therefore, enjoy the journey, whatever it may be and wherever it leads you. “Distance Over Speed!” I’ll take that any day! But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Matthew 24:13. I’ll return next week with a new post, “You Are Tougher!”
Be encouraged, and God bless!
