Without hope, there is no faith. We know in faith there is no evidence to present, nothing to show us that we will receive the result we desire in any situation. However, when we have hope, we are preparing the way for us to receive our desires through faith. Hebrews 11:1 tells us, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Most importantly, we cannot give up despite what each day looks like or how our feelings may be on a roller coaster ride with more twists and turns than we can count. Discouragement can grip us all. Hence, various issues of life dealing with relationships, health concerns, and financial obligations, to name a few, can be challenging. Nevertheless, when troubles arise, we must ask ourselves, “Where Is My Hope?”
Specifically, without hope, we are destitute and subject to depression, loneliness, heartbreak, and heartache. Our world is full of trouble from sea to shining sea. No one is exempt from feeling the ever-present pressures. Furthermore, there is nowhere on earth to escape the craziness we see and experience daily. When writing this post, I read that Monkeypox is now a global health emergency as the cases surge. As if the Covid pandemic is not enough! Lord help! “Where Is My Hope?” Foundationally, my hope is in Jesus Christ. Everything else is merely sinking sand.
Without a doubt, dear readers, if you are praying like me that God will have mercy and turn some situations around, continue to do so fervently in prayer and supplication. Most importantly, know with assurance that God can do all things; nothing is too hard for Him. Accordingly, maybe you are in a bad relationship or have no relationship you desire. Continue to petition God. Moreover, you might want children; please don’t give up. Read about Hannah in 1 Samuel chapter one. Lastly, if you are sick, think of Hezekiah. You shall live, and not die-there are more years to come. “Where Is My Hope?” It is alive and thriving in Christ, my Savior! Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word. Psalms 119:114. I’ll be back next week with a new post, “Why Should I Complain?”
Be encouraged, and God bless!
Sister Jackie
This was wonderful! Love you keep up the amazing work! 😘
My daughter Petrina good to hear from you! Thank you so much for your encouragement! May God continue to bless you and cover you with His gracious love richly. Love you. ❤
God bless you. Thank you for this post because many have lost hope. Without hope we have nothing, we must believe without seeing. Everything is in God’s hands, so must continue to pray, have faith, believe and not lose hope.
Amen, my Sister! Yes, we must continue to believe even when we see absolutely nothing! God bless you, and thank you so much for those encouraging words of wisdom!
Good Morning to all.
I am in total agreement with the songwriter,
” My hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus blood and His righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame; but wholly lean on Jesus name”.
Jackie, you named a few global health issues that we are facing today; Add “adult sudden death syndrome” to our prayer list.
I thank God for blessed Hope in Him through Christ Jesus.
I will certainly add that to my prayer list. Thank you for your encouraging remarks. I, too, agree with the songwriter. I could do nothing without God, for my hope is in Him! God bless you, and Heaven smile upon you with rays of love, joy, and peace.
