“We Can’t Control Life!”

No matter how much we want to control the things in our life, “We Can’t Control Life!” Imagine if we could, we would turn many situations around or not even allow them to come into our lives. However, in doing that, most likely, most of the time, we would be out of the will of God. Often, we don’t take much time to think about how our brokenness, pain, and heartache came not to hurt us but to grow us.

Our world brings about many things that change our lives daily; even our inner circles of family, spouses, and friends yield difficult times. It’s crucial to remember that we can’t control our lives. Mistakes made sometimes cannot be undone, no matter how much we regret them. When close relationships are not moving in the right direction, and everything around us appears to fall apart, the only thing we can do with assurance is to pray and trust in God. Let this remind us that we must have trust and faith in facing life’s challenges.

In summation, we must learn to accept that most things are beyond our control. As much as we want meaningful and loving relationships, no matter how much we give of ourselves, we have no control over anyone else. Therefore, we can only do what we can to hold up our part of the relationship. For that reason, discouragement should not claim us. “We Can’t Control Life!” but we can control how we view life in adversity. Our view should always include the goodness of God. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. Colossians 3:3. I’ll return next week with a new post, “Should Couples Split Household Responsibilities?”

Be encouraged, and God bless!

AMEN! This is so powerful ““We Can’t Control Life!” but we can control how we view life in adversity.”
I too, from personal experience, believe this. If we could learn how to adopt the practice of looking within ourselves first, and, then see how we can help ourselves to process the situation to recover, instead of how we can fix the other person or change an unchangeable past situation, we may then be able to eliminate so much hurt, pain, misery and discouragement on ourselves.
Thank you for sharing this, for so many of us need this reminder. For truly, it may be easier said than done, but the benefit is priceless when we can truly let go and let God handle it, and just keep it moving forward instead of staying stuck in hurt, grief, disappointment and regret.
May God continue to bless and keep you Sis, as you continue being a vessel of encouragement to others!💕
