Recently, I was listening to a sermon by one of my ‘other sons’ in Houston, Texas. He is a phenomenal preacher and man of God. As he spoke of ‘uncommon favor,’ I couldn’t help but think, “Uncommon Favor!-I Got It!” If you reflect on your own life, you, too, will see God’s hand in situations that appear impossible. But God! I am grateful for His favor, and I know you are too.
Consider this: our relationships are as good as they are because of ‘favor.’ When everything is near to hitting rock bottom, God’s hand intervenes, and everything is alright. Furthermore, as we walk with the Lord, our expectations should exceed those not living a saved life. “Uncommon Favor!-I Got It!” How do I know? I don’t have to look way back over my life; I can look at yesterday, a week ago, a month ago, and see the goodness of God. When tears could rightly flood my heart, I have joy and peace in the middle of my circumstances. Hence, my peace surpasses all understanding. Without a doubt, I have unthinkable and unspeakable joy!
Let me end by saying this: every day will not be a day of roses. Sometimes we have to cry at night and in the daytime too. Afflictions, troubles, and heartaches may come to our front door and enter, but the God we serve will turn things around in our favor. Do you have it? His favor, His uncommon favor. “Uncommon Favor!- I Got It!”
God will give us a testimony to share with others and let them know our God is like no other. He deserves all our praise. My sisters look to the hills from whence cometh your help. If you don’t see it in your life, ask God for it, and you will be able to say, “Uncommon Favor!-I Got It!” For thou Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. Psalm 5:12. I will return next week with a new post, “Sunday Is Coming!”
Be encouraged, and God bless!
