First, I thank those participating in the “Twelve Days of Christmas!” challenge. To update you, I have completed four days and blessed nine individuals during this time. I will share the first three days with you now. Next week, I will share the completion of the challenge.
Day 1- I encouraged a young lady in her new business venture. As she shared with me, I began encouraging her and told her I would pray for her success. She was very grateful for our talk. On another day, I went to her online business and sent her a “tip.” I didn’t order anything because her merchandise leans toward a younger audience. Nevertheless, I wanted to bless her, so I tipped her. I will gladly share any information about her online business with you if you desire.
Day 2- I helped a stranger in Publix get a milk container that was out of her reach. She didn’t think it was reachable, but I told her I would get it. And I did! She was so grateful because no one else was around to help her.
Day 3- One of my former teachers sought donations to help some family members in Haiti with food and toys for Christmas. Although I have given to many charities this year, I could not say no. Therefore, I gave her a generous donation. I wish I could have sent even more, but she was so grateful because she said no one else had responded then.
By the next post, I will have prayerfully completed this challenge. Again, there is still time for others to join in. If it is easier for you to meet the challenge in fewer days, that is fine, as long as twelve individuals receive a blessing.
God bless you all as you bless others.
Sister Jackie
Hello to all;
I too, love this challenge;
I am a giver also and I am always joyous each time I give of myself, my time and my finances. Below, are some of the ways that I have given to others.
Day 1- I purchased lunch, from longhorn, for 5 employees at Goodwill; they were overwhelmed with joy and excitement It was an unexpected surprise.
Day 2- I was shopping for a few items in a department store, saw a young lady walking towards me and I offered her a big smile. She later came up to me and thanked me for the smile and said,
“Thank you for that smile, I needed that very much.”
Day 3-I purchased a wooden “Believe”
Sign for a lady in my development. She was designing a cross with lights to hang on her door for Christmas. I thought the sign would be a perfect addition. She was amazed that I would purchase the item, find her and bless her. She wanted to reimburse me; of course, I humbly refused.
Day 4- I treated my youngest son to a wonderful dinner as I encouraged him to continue applying for the job that he wants. Two weeks ago, his job downsized and over half of all employees were let go.
First of all, thank you for participating in this challenge. Yes, you are a joyful and generous giver. I know this first hand! God bless you as you bless others with your joyful spirit and generosity. Looking forward to you continuing to share God’s goodness through the many ways you bless others.
