Have you ever wondered if God is listening to you? If He sees your tears and feels your anguish? I am sure most of us reach that point at some time in our life, but why? Don’t we know that God is all-seeing and all-knowing, and absolutely nothing goes past Him? We know, but sometimes we get weary in waiting for an answer-any answer. Last year, I wrote a post, “When All You Hear Is Silence!” Many times we may perceive the silence and fail to remember who God is. There is nothing quiet about God!
Although waiting for most things is not easy or desired, it is a necessity in life. Recently, I was thinking about a few petitions I have before the Lord and yet waiting for the answers. Amid my thoughts and wondering why I haven’t received what I have petitioned God for, He spoke to my heart, letting me know that He has heard me. Even when we feel that God is silent to our requests, that is not the case. There is nothing quiet about God. Whether we hear an answer audibly or in our spirit, or not at all, God is ever-present, alive, and aware of every situation in our life.
Furthermore, God wants us to trust Him even when we cannot see the outcome and the answer to our prayer appears to be so far away. Is that not what faith is? Where is your faith? Where is my belief? If we can’t trust God for all things, in all things, and through all things, something is amiss. It is time for us to know who we are in God and not allow doubt to rule in our hearts. When God gently reminded me that He is not mute nor deaf, I had to stop for a moment and remind myself that God has not forgotten me. It is time to hold on to His promises flat-footed without budging.
For this purpose, keep trusting God to give you your heart’s desire. It does not matter what any situation looks like; God is in control and can turn any case around, cause you to have favor, and be victorious. My sisters, who have been crying and waiting for years to have the relationship you desire, don’t faint, don’t stop praying, and never give up on God. Why? Because there is nothing quiet about God! You may not hear a word from Him, but just one look from Him speaks volumes.
To conclude, one day, I will share a story concerning when my mom petitioned God to heal her mom. She never heard Him say a word, but she felt Him when He turned on the throne and looked toward Trenton, where my grandmother was in the hospital. The result spoke loudly! Your answer is closer than you think. Listen for it. Can you hear it? God’s silence does not mean He is sitting by quietly taking a rest. He is yet present and active, working on our behalf and sometimes speaking to us through others. The Lord shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace. Exodus 14:14. I’ll be back next week with a new post, “Facing the Unknown!”
Be encouraged, and God bless!
Sister Jackie
Amen! You are so right, “Although waiting for most things is not easy or desired, it is a necessity in life”.
My Word from the Lord for this season, for “me” is “wait”. So in the meantime, I am seeking a better understanding of this “process of waiting”, – both the being still aspect, and the work aspect. I am trying to sharpen up my “waiting” to another level, both on the natural and the spiritual, with delighting in God, with delight in the expectation of the “wait”!
Thank You so much for sharing Sis, these blogs are so timely. God Bless and keep you!!!
Thank you for those timely comments, which generate wisdom. If we can learn to “wait” with delight in God and the expectation, oh my goodness, we would be more joyful, content, and receptive to God’s will. Lord, take me there!!! God bless you, my sister, and keep encouraging us to move to higher heights in our walk with God!
Our God is standing by. Sometimes we choose a slow line at the store or the bank, but you’re in the right line. Love you Mother’s Love
Love it! You are so right, Mother. Whether the bank or store line is slow or fast, it yields the same results. I am encouraged and will continue to hold onto my faith and assurance in God’s promises! God bless you, and heaven graciously smile upon you! Thank you so much for sharing!
