Most people don’t enjoy being at the end of the line. Why? Because they want to be first. Teachers know students will push and shove one another to be the first person in line. When I went on church bus rides, I would always arrive early to get a seat in the front of the bus. I didn’t like being in the back. As a student in my youth and college days, I always chose a seat in the room’s front. You probably have many relatable stories concerning your position in line over the years. But, today, I have another view. It’s alright to be at the end of the line!
Have you ever eaten at a venue that served the food via a buffet? Although you might be quite hungry and want to be in the front of the line when the food runs out right before it’s your time and the server brings out fresh, hot new food, your taste buds are delighted! It was worth the wait and worth being at the end of the line. Being last does not mean you have to lose out on blessings and good things.
On the contrary, being last can be a blessing in disguise even though it may not appear to be so. Others may have solid excellent, loving relationships. All of your friends are getting married and have beautiful families. You dedicate your life to prayer and fasting, yet you appear to be at the end of the blessing line. The key is to have the chance to be in line at all. As long as we live and breathe, there is an opportunity to receive your heart’s desire from the Lord. It’s not over until He says it’s over. The wait isn’t over neither the blessings to come in your life.
Furthermore, this is not the time or season to give up. Being last does not imply unworthiness; but instead, it can allow more time for preparation in receiving the blessings God has in store for you. Stop fretting because you don’t have the mate you desire. Don’t get weary and feel that God is not listening to you or honoring your petitions. It’s acceptable and useful to sometimes be at the end of the line. Help is on the way. Blessings are nigh and in the atmosphere—your good is coming. Stay encouraged as you wait at the end of the line. You may be next to move up in line to receive your miracle! But many that are first shall be last, and the last shall be first. Matthew 19:30. I’ll be back next week with a new post, “Thank God for the Trees!”
Be encouraged, and God bless!
