“That’s Not the End of Your Story!”

I am living in my favorite time of year. I love the Christmas season. You may question my choice of words since this post is posting in November. Well, let me baffle you further. I am writing this post on November 3rd (Election Day). My Christmas celebration begins at the end of October when Hallmark channels start televising Christmas movies around the clock. Anyone who knows me knows I love anything Christmas, especially Hallmark Christmas movies!

Consequently, I cry over the same ones every year, along with the new ones. The storyline doesn’t change, but I always look forward to seeing how the story ends. As some stories end, the words “The End” are crossed out and replaced with “The Beginning.” So, it is sometimes with our life. We are living in an incredibly crazy time. The pandemic, government leaders, the economy all wreak havoc in our lives. Sometimes it seems as if everything pleasant and decent that we know is coming to an end. But that’s not the end of your story!

During this challenging time that we live in and especially this day ( Election Day), anxiety and stress are present. Compound that with relationship issues that generate from a current or past connection, or no relationship. We all fall into one of these areas. I can’t say which one is more stressful, but most individuals welcome companionship to combat loneliness feelings. If you are experiencing problems or are alone, that’s not the end of your story. Although we don’t have the power to change our endings to new beginnings on our own, we should not give up on our desires.

More importantly, don’t feel that God has forgotten you or does not understand what you are experiencing. Hold onto the things that give you joy and peace amid stormy times. Keep putting one foot in front of the other and don’t look back. What you may be feeling today is not the end of your story! I desire to have a special relationship with someone the same as many of you do.

But, in the meantime, I keep the joy of the Lord in my heart because I know what I have experienced, and what I may not have at present is not the end of my story. One day, I will write a post and share some good news that God has heard my cry, pitied my groan, and given me the desire of my heart! Today’s post is to encourage your heart to continue to hold joy and peace and patiently wait on our loving God to move on your behalf. Why? Because like for me, this is not the end of your story! Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength: Isaiah 26: 4. I’ll be back next week with a new post, “2020 A Time of Thanksgiving!”

Be encouraged, and God bless!

This is powerful Sis…good writing…good Thought provoking statement…“That’s Not the End of Your Story!”— soooooo encouraging!!!!
And for me now, my personal hind-sight, or perspective on looking at my past desires, things I’m yet believing God for,,, now, is that most things in life are simply, only the last chapter in the first volume or series, NOT the end-of-it-all(even though it may feel or look like it), but, it is a new beginning for the next phase (for hopefully we learned some good for our own souls in our past experiences for a better outcome in the next new volume, chapter, or series of our life’s journey)…and you can add “many” new volumes, chapters and new series from the “first” book, before the last word is spoken, or the final say-so of it all. For that, “the END” also, has it’s time to be too – real talk. After all, our God is God of “another chance”, and that means as many chances as God chooses to give each individual one of us, can’t nobody or nothing stop Him, and without doubt we will get them, for He says so – HALLELUJAH!!!….
But I do believe that it takes a level of courage, experience, faith and maturity to totally receive, believe and live as “That’s not the end of our story”. For there is a level of sweet quiet peace, joyful expectation, and lively hope when one truly believes and receives that truth, in God, that all endings, of some events, are not the end of their story, not until God says so, and He is JUST and faithful – 100%, all the time and in all things. We are complete in Him!
Keep Writing Sis…We love to keep reading all that you share, for it is enlightening, inspiring and thought provoking too. MUCH love and Blessings to you too.

Wow! You put the icing on the “cake of thoughts.” So many excellent points you have given us to ponder. You summed this post up beautifully-“For there is a level of sweet, quiet peace, joyful expectation, and lively hope when one truly believes and receives that truth, in God, that all endings, of some events, are not the end of their story, not until God says so, and He is JUST and faithful – 100%, all the time and in all things. We are complete in Him! ” God bless you abundantly, my sister, and thank you for always taking us a notch higher with your responses!

“That’s not how the story ends, three days later, He rise again”; words pinned but a songwriter, taken from the holy scriptures……and He lives forever more.
If death couldn’t hold His body down; if that wasn’t the end for Christ, surely it’s not the end for us.
For He hath promised us life more abundantly, Joy unspeakable, full of glory, I will give you the desires of your heart. Etc.need I say more?
We must come into agreement with the word of God and stand firmly on His desires, plans and expectations for us. ( let us not forget the contingencies )
Excellent topic; I truly enjoyed your perspective along with Audrey.
And by the way- I too love, love, love this season.

Because He lives, we can live more abundantly, and a closed-door for the moment doesn’t mean it will be closed forever. Why? Because that’s not the end of our story unless God says so! Thank you for your words of wisdom that always bless me. May our wonderful Savior bless you more abundantly during this joyful season!
