“Stand Firm!”

Recently, I heard someone say, “Stand firm even when the ground under you is not firm.” Wow! Very profound, and perhaps not easy, but excellent advice. It is no time to sink. Therefore, we must do all we can to stay above ground. Thinking positively, being positive, and focusing on our destination rather than the journey can be helpful. Many distractions can divert our focus from the reward that awaits us, causing us to become weary and faint. Reflecting on the numerous challenges we face in life, it is easy to succumb and give up. But don’t do it. “Stand Firm!”

Additionally, standing firm may entail standing up for what is right. Following things or people who are not in our best interest or compatible with righteousness is trouble. Have you ever seen someone bow down to something they know is wrong? To be in favor or liked by others. Primarily, it is not worth the result. Let this post remind you, my sisters, that you don’t have to give up who you are to be with someone who is not suitable for you. “Stand Firm!” Even when it means walking alone or not having the companionship you desire. In essence, we are never alone with Christ in our lives.

When our life journey appears to have us on sinking ground, hold on to whatever you can that is good to get you to more solid ground. Hence, don’t be afraid to seek help, and when it comes, accept it. When you have done all you can, keep standing anyway. We accomplish nothing when we wallow in sorrow and feel sorry for ourselves. Remember, when all appears dark and dreary, there is light because God will not forget His own. “Stand Firm!”Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand. Psalm 37:24. I’ll return next week with a new post, “No Cancellation!”

Be encouraged, and God bless!
