“Situation or Revelation?”

Well, thank God again for 2021! At our first Women’s Meeting of the year orchestrated by our First Lady, each woman spoke of their aspiration for 2021. Thinking about aspirations for my personal life in 2021, I do so by looking at where I am now. Everything has a starting point and where we begin makes a world of difference. Realistic goals must have a practical beginning. For example, I can’t say I want to practice medicine this year if I never went to medical school. Spiritually, I can’t say I want to be a kingdom builder if I don’t confess salvation. Get my point. How did I get to where I am today, and how do I move forward is the question. Am I where I am today by situation or revelation?

First, I know you may wonder what do I mean. Let me explain and be transparent. Even though my marital unions contained many challenges and heartache along with good times, I desire marriage. I always felt I was a loving wife and rendered my all and all. Was love enough? Maybe not, but hopefully, my experiences can help someone else and prayerfully give them some survival tips to avoid a marriage breakdown.

Therefore, by sharing my experiences, I can see the revelation of how and where I am today. Years ago, God put in my heart to one day help other women who have marriage and relationship challenges. At the time, I was doing all I could to make sense of my heartache. Although God gave the revelation that I should offer help to broken-hearted women at the time, I didn’t know how I would do that. It took eight years before I took the leap of faith and created this website. I did not have the technical skills or the experience to create a website, but God equips us with people who have the knowledge we don’t possess.

Moreover, many days I cried and asked God why am I experiencing the relationship hurts and painfulness. I don’t deserve it, nor want it, but God kept gently letting me know it wasn’t about me, but about Him getting the glory from my life. Vividly, I recall one day I got in my car to go somewhere; a message was playing over the radio. I don’t remember the speaker, but the person said, “What you are going through has nothing to do with you, but it is for the glory of God.” Wow! I wanted to get out of the car and praise God. The tears came and kept flowing.

Subsequently, it was as if God was saying stop wondering why and know I am in control of your life, and I am allowing you to go through this heartache because I need you to help other women who are suffering in relationships. Futhermore, they need to hear a comforting word and know they are not alone. God let me know He chose me for His glory. Wow! It helped me to understand that situations didn’t land me where I am today. God’s revelation of His purpose is the crucial factor.

Most importantly, look at your life and where you are currently. Was it due to situations you created or allowed to happen, or is it a revelation of God’s plan for your life? The things we cause are different from God’s plan and revelations in our life. Once I could accept( and it took a while) God’s plan for my life, my thoughts changed. I enjoy writing the weekly relationship posts and praying they are helping women trust God for their well-being. Hopefully, they gain the strength to keep moving forward in their relationships. Sometimes I say I am not writing anymore because I don’t have anything more to say, and God lets me know not yet, and He gives me more. I believe if I do what He chose me to do at His time, He will provide me with my heart’s desire.

In conclusion, situation or revelation, where are you today? It is a difference yielding different outcomes. If you are the cause of your condition, ask God for direction and aspire to change it so you can move forward in 2021. If your position in life is fulfilling a revelation, trust God to strengthen you, guide, and lead you to fulfill your destiny and complete the task. Run this race with patience and keep your eyes on the finish line. When your course is over, and the victory is yours, He will reward you with your heart’s desire. Situation or revelation know the difference- see the outcome! In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will. Ephesians 1:11. I’ll be back next week with a new post, “No Promotion Without A Test!”

Be encouraged, and God bless!

Great question; not always easy to answer.
It is indeed by revelation that I am where I am today; however, there has been times that I questioned whether or not I was in the revealed plan of the Lord or was it because of a situational choice that I made.
Thanks be to God! He always causes us to triumph when we put our trust and confidence in Him.
We will never be put to open shame.
God bless you Jackie and your faithful contributors
