As I sit here and write this post, I have received several prayer requests. Lord knows this is a trying season for us all. Sickness, grief, financial problems, and the list goes on are troubling so many of our sisters and brothers. Thank you, Jesus, our First Lady, called a twenty-four-hour fast for us to go before the Lord on this very day. You may wonder what this has to do with relationships since this is mainly a relationship blog. It has everything to do with relationships. We will get back to some of the typical relationship issues, but right now, it’s “praying time!” and we need to “Share the Burden!”
Furthermore, we all have a season when trouble will find its way to us. But, thank God, trouble doesn’t last always! Nevertheless, when we are going through it, it is comforting to know that someone else will help us “Share the Burden!” Isn’t that a part of what makes good relationships? Most importantly, we must be there for the ones we love and for the loved ones of our sisters and brothers. So, no matter what we have going on in our lives, let’s pray for others experiencing difficulties in one area or another. Without a doubt, putting others before our problems will help limit our thoughts of what we are experiencing. Further, we are blessed when we seek to help someone else. So, let’s get busy and “Share the Burden!” of someone carrying a heavy load. The Lord upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down. Psalm 145:14. I’ll return next week with a new post, “Look for the Rainbow!”
Be encouraged, and God bless!
Sister Jackie
Hello to Jackie and everyone that shares.
I am reminded of Ephesians 6:2; we ought to bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.
And how do we do this…… so glad you asked.
We carry each other’s burdens by petitioning to God with those in need. We conduct prayer groups, we synchronise our prayers, and we fast together, in order to maintain solidarity with those who desperately need a breakthrough in their lives.
We show compassion(to pull up beside another in love, to make a heavy load lighter) in many ways. Jackie has listed some ways and Jesus was/is the master for showing compassion.
There’s a world full of hurting people; we don’t have to look very far; but we must make a start.
You said it so well! Thank you for those beautiful words of wisdom that further show us how to share the burdens of others. You definitely do your part to lighten the loads of others in your daily walk. God bless you and keep you uplifted as you do your part to lift up others!
