We can’t rewind our life and do things over, but we can reset the pattern and change our course for the better. At times, we all wish that we could push a rewind button and go back to better days, or undo some of the things that caused us heartache and pain. But, since there is no way unfortunately to do that, we have to reset our life. You may be wondering how do we do that when our heart has been broken for such a long time, or over and over again. We reset our life by making changes that will help us to live again and live differently. The only way to do that is to start making changes at the point where we are now. Don’t dwell on the past or get in a tizzy because you are not where you expected to be in this time of your life. I surely had a different expectation of my life at the age where I am when it comes to marriage and relationships. Still, I refuse to be upset, worried, or gloomy because certain things did not happen or did happen and should not have. I know that I am not alone. We all have great dreams for our life.
When we want more time to sleep, we reset our alarm to give us more sleep time. We don’t rewind the time of day on the clock to provide us with more time. In resetting our life, we have to be willing to make changes. Everything we have gone through in the past should be a lesson learned. Hopefully, we have learned from our mistakes and our heartache. But don’t dwell on history and get stuck there. Don’t be afraid to try something new. If it doesn’t work, go back to where you began and start over. Most of all, remember that God has the final say in our life. It’s not over until He says it’s over. Nothing is too hard to change or make better with Him leading the way. Trusting Him for our well being and strength is vital. He does all things well!
At some point, we have to make up our minds and say, “This is the day that I reset my life!” No more tears, no more dwelling on the past, no more just wishing that things were different. Healing doesn’t come about from wishful thinking. Heartache doesn’t just ride away in the sunset. Healing takes time and work. We have to take the time to look closely at our life. When we do and count, our blessings resetting our life won’t be so difficult. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8. I’ll be back next week with a new post, “Faith above Devastation!”
Be encouraged, and God bless!

Love this!
Keep moving forward. God bless you!
I love your analogy of resetting our alarm when we need more sleep and resetting our lives when we desire change. It reminded me of powerful we are as beings to create, not just trivial experiences in our lives, but ALL experiences in our lives!! Very refreshing and encouraging! Love you!
Thank you so much for your comments. God bless you! Love you too!.
