There are many things that can take our peace away, but one thing I know can restore it is prayer. I don’t believe we can pray and worry at the same time. More importantly, if we insist on worrying, then why should we pray? Prayer is our connection to God. He is the only one who can give us the peace we need. I am glad we cannot buy peace, because then only the rich would maintain it. Prayer is without cost; it is totally free. Praise Jesus! I love being alone with God in prayer. During those times, I can express myself to Him without judgment. Hence, fancy words are not important, nor the length of my prayer. Have you ever been without words? I have, and at those times, He understands the sentiment of my heart. “Prayer Brings Us Peace!”
So, in a world where many have lost the meaning of peace and do everything in their power to disturb others’ lives, we have to seek peace. In times past, we could find solace and peace in our homes. At the end of our workday, we could look forward to going home. With the pressures of life, sometimes there is no peace to be found there. Unfortunately, since some have lost respect for places of worship, ungodly occurrences may sometimes occur. Moreover, unless the Lord keeps us, no place is exempt from the madness of this world. Therefore, praying to God is our best solution. “Prayer Brings Us Peace!”
As I conclude, we must always remember that our only hope is built on the righteousness of God. Spending time with God in prayer will give us the strength we need to go through the fires and storms of life. Praying brings us closer to God. Just as natural earthly relationships cannot thrive without communication, neither will our spiritual relationship with God. And when we pray , we must give God praise for the things He has already done! “Prayer Brings Us Peace!” Lord, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us.
