Has there ever been a time when you felt the pressures of life knocking at your door? That is a rhetorical question because I already know the answer, “Yes.” Life has a way like no other to cause situations, issues, problems, environments, relationships, etc., to send mind-boggling pressure to our front door. What is our response? We open the front door and let it in. However, I recall an expression I have heard others say, “Shut the front door!” Yes, we need to shut the door sometimes and say, “No Pressure, Please!”
As if we didn’t have enough going on in our pre-pandemic lives, the pandemic brought on more issues and concerns to burden us with more pressure. I have concluded with others that the COVID virus or its variants are not going away in totality. So subsequently, we need to learn safety adjustments to stay sane and enjoy our God-given life to the fullest. Worries only negatively add to our mindset. I say, “No Pressure, Please!”
Furthermore, it’s springtime, and as the weather becomes more sociable, people will be out and about each day. Unfortunately, we have been hearing of more violence in the streets, homes, jobs, and everywhere you can look. Those unnecessary acts of violence add to the pressures of life, but they don’t have to, certainly. My pastor recently spoke to us about not having fear. When we walk in the ways of God, we don’t have to fear anything. But, do we? Yes, because of our human fragility. But, fear not, tell yourself often, “No Pressure, Please.
As I conclude, let this post be a reminder that life is too short to spend unnecessary hours worrying and feeling the pressures of things sometimes beyond our control. Let’s learn to turn our worries, troubles, and fears over to the One who can crush them. All of us have some broken pieces that need healing from time to time. God can heal and deliver, and He looks forward to us trusting Him and telling Him today, dear God, “No Pressure, Please!” Tell Him if only for today and see the joy that it brings. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? Psalm 118:6. I’ll be back next week with a new post, “Consider the Source!”
Be encouraged, and God bless!
Sister Jackie

You are welcome! God is here to eliminate our pressures. God bless you, Rita, and may heaven smile upon you and light your way during this life journey.
AMEN!!!!!!! I declare and decree that “The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? Psalm 118:6″…I walk with this scripture too, especially when the attacks seem overwhelming.
Truly, I Thank God that He does not let the pressures of like break me down, neither the pressures that “I” take upon myself, nor the ones that others try to dump on me.
Thank You God for remembering me in “these” times and situations of pressure in my life.
You did it again Sis, This is “a message of empowerment” to preach to the masses!
God is an awesome God who knows how much we can bear. He is the lifter of our heads through life’s ups and downs. Thank you, my sister, for encouraging me and others through your powerful words. God bless you and keep you wrapped in His graceful arms.
