When things happen in life that are not pleasant, we may not want to share them with others. Why? Because we may feel embarrassment, shame, or thinking what we have endured is only particular to us. No, there is nothing new under the sun! However, often we choose not to speak about difficult things of our past or present. We may wonder should we expose skeletons in our closet to others. Will it mean we are putting our inner secrets out to the world if we do? Or will we be sending a message that our life is “No Longer a Mess!” Think about it.
Naturally, it has to be an individual choice. But, let me say this, whatever any of us has gone through and endured, someone else has traveled the same road. We are not alone in this journey of life. Even more so, there is someone who needs to hear what we have overcome. Consequently, our life is a testimony and message to help someone else make it on their broken pieces. When God delivers us, someone needs to know our life is “No Longer A Mess!”
Despite who we are in Christ, we will encounter heartache and pain, not by chance or fate, but for the glory of God. Think about it. Have you ever wondered why you or someone faces specific challenges? Furthermore, do you question God and ask, “Why me?” Do you ever think about the fact that God knows you could handle the pain and hurt? He will not put more on us than what we can bear. God chose Job to be picked on by the devil.
Why Job? Because God had confidence in Job that he would survive the attacks and trust God for his life. Did Job get discouraged? Yes, but he would not do as his wife suggested and curse God and die. Job’s life changed quickly, and he lost so much. But in the end, Job’s life was “No Longer a Mess!” Accordingly, it is a message and testimony even unto this day of what God can do. God is a restorer of our broken hearts and gives us more abundantly what we have lost.
Critically, our testimony is a lifeline for someone else. My First Lady always reminds us of the importance of testifying. Why? Because by our testimony, someone else can gain strength to overcome their trials and tribulations. But, if we never hear what God can do, how do we know that He can see us through life’s many challenges? Someone needs our encouragement and faith to give them hope. So one day, they can say that they are, “No Longer A Mess!”
In conclusion, your life may hold a lot of heartache, despair, and pain, but when you make it through your challenges, reach back and bring someone else along the way. Your testimony can speak volumes and let others know your life is “No Longer A Mess!” It is a message to this dying world that Jesus lives and is a conqueror. For whatever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 1 John 5:4. I’ll be back next week with a new post, “In Times Like These!”
Be encouraged, and God bless!
