From time to time, we have all heard that we should not stand in the judgment of others. Why? Because we may incur judgment by the same measures that we use to evaluate someone. However, have you ever thought about how you may judge yourself from time to time? I thought about this, which prompted me to write this post. We can be so hard on ourselves without considering the factual circumstances of our lives. To clarify what I mean, when our life is not moving in the direction we believe it should be, we may begin judging ourselves. Similarly, as we should refrain from judging others, we must apply that notion to ourselves in the same token. “No Judging!”
Despite the condition of your life, what relationships you may lack or yearn for, always remember God is in control. Yes, we can make costly choices or experience less than suitable treatment from others, but sometimes these things come about to make us trust God more. Every heartache isn’t because you may have done something to warrant it. The lack of the unique relationships you desire might be because God has it on hold. Why? His timing may not coincide with our desires. So, don’t try to figure out what you have done or not done that may contribute to your stage of life. Tell yourself, “No Judging!”
Furthermore, God will get the glory out of our life if we allow Him to. Just like the blind man who was born blind from his birth. Neither he nor his parents sinned, but his condition was that the works of God would be manifest through his healing. My sisters, if you are watching others receive their heart desire and you are living all that you know, don’t be weary or discouraged.
As I conclude this post, let it serve as a reminder that every letdown in your life is not your fault. Know that God may use you as a testimony for someone else who needs encouragement. Look for your blessings. They are closer than you know, and when it comes to yourself, “No Judging!” Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be manifest in him. John 9:3. I’ll be back next week with a new post, “A Time To Love!”
Be encouraged, and God bless!
Sister Jackie
This was so timely for me today.
I woke up this morning Thanking God for helping me to be able to forgive myself for all the past wrongs of my life. For truly we are our own worst enemy…we can beat up ourselves, in ways, more than anyone else can, because we have “first hand”, constant and instant contact and impact on our own personal lives.
Thank you again for sharing this “today”. For I know it is God speaking through you to me today(just speaking for myself), that my joy may be full in this knowledge, because I know that you did NOT know what I woke up this morning with on my mind, long before daybreak, with Joy and Praises in my heart and praying to God and thanking Him for helping me to be a true overcomer in this area of my life, in being able to genuinely forgive myself, in being able to truly walk in it, so that I can go on and run this race as a overcomer through Christ. Because, for me, it was no small easy feat to accomplish, nor short period of time for me to get to this place in my life, where I truly learned how to forgive myself as I forgive others, and as God forgives us all.
So glad that I learned how to “give myself a break”,…for in the past, I did more of letting everyone else off the hook a whole lot quicker and easier than I did for my own self – I gave others the benefit of the doubt much easier than I gave myself a break, as though I thought they deserved it more than myself… But, so glad that I HAVE learned that, I am supposed to include myself too for this “no judging”, this forgiveness, …for as God has forgiven me, and I forgive others, I too, must never forget to “also forgive myself, lest I be a hindrance to my own self.
Thanks again for sharing this timely message for our hearts to not be unnecessarily burdened, that our hearts be alive and thrive, during these trying times that try the heart, soul, mind and spirit of mankind in this World today!
God Bless You my dear Sister-in-Christ.
So glad that you have a heart to share words of encouragement that lift us up in these trying times..
Thank you so much. God always knows what we need. I always ask Him what He wants me to share to encourage those who read these posts. They are written weeks ahead and scheduled to post weekly. I just completed writing a post that I will release at the end of this month. Sometimes I say I am not writing anymore because I don’t know what to say. But, after I pray and seek God’s guidance, He sends a word to me. I solicit your prayers that God will keep leading me on this journey until He says, “It is finished.” Know that these posts first encourage me and then go abroad. Thank you for your consistent support, words of wisdom, and encouragement. It means a lot to me. May the Lord bless you real good!!!
