If you have ever watched a Hallmark movie, you know that one of the film’s central themes is Christmas wishes coming true. Have you ever made any wishes hoping for good results? Do you believe that wishes come true? If so, who do you think is responsible for granting wishes? Well, we know that most Hallmark Christmas movies have no basis in reality, but they make us feel good. I don’t believe in wishing upon a star, magical ornaments, or other similar phenomena, but I do believe in receiving the desires of my heart. Through prayer, I know that I can have what I need in any situation. Which includes “My Christmas Wish!”
Undoubtedly, this Christmas is a little different, but I am not letting my circumstances dictate my emotions and feelings. Knowing the real reason for the season is my grounding point. For that reason, I must have joy, peace, and love within. Consequently, the external cannot affect the internal. Otherwise, we cannot allow what is happening outside of us to affect us within. I can say; I will have “My Christmas Wish!”
Most importantly, dear sisters, keep the spirit of Christmas alive during this season in your many relationships. Whether family, personal, work situations or plain friendships, enjoy this season. No frets, no worries! Hope, believe, pray or wish for whatever makes you joyful and happy. Happiness is fleeting, so I prefer being joyful because it is more lasting, but even if you have a moment of happiness, hold onto it. Tell yourself; I will have “My Christmas Wish!”
As I conclude, you may wonder what my wish is this Christmas. Typically, people don’t share their wishes because they say they won’t come true, but I will give you a hint about mine. I am not asking for anything, just grateful for all things. Do you know what my Christmas wish is? Do you have a Christmas wish? Don’t be afraid to have one. Anything aligned with God’s will is acceptable to Him! Glory to our King! And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. Luke 2:10. I’ll be back next week with a new post, “Almost There!”
Be encouraged, and God bless!
Sister Jackie
Amen and beautifully said. I will have “My Christmas Wish”. Merry Christmas and May all your wishes come true.
Thank you! Merry Christmas to you and your family! And may the blessings of God be with you this season. Thank you for your comments.
Amen…and I think that your “Christmas wish” is simply an attitude of gratitude, taking nothing for granted, but simply and humbly giving our God Thanks for remembering us all, and showing us the greatest act of LOVE ever, in sending to us, His only begotten son, Jesus, that we may have life and have it more abundantly,
…just guessing, but, if it’s not your “Christmas wish”, it’s mine, LOL!
Merry Christmas, and Peace, Love, and Joy in this beautiful sacred season, to you and yours.
God bless you, Sis. Audrey, my Christmas wish is asking for nothing, nor taking my life or anything for granted. Just being alive is enough for me! And I have a grateful heart for all things. Most of all thankful for the greatest gift of all, which is Jesus! Merry Christmas to you and yours, and may God shower you with love, joy, peace, good health, prosperity, and whatever good things He has in store for you! Thank you so much for your comments.
