Early on, one of my posts spoke of meeting someone whose purpose was to be an appetizer in your life (“Just an Appetizer!”-May 28, 2019). We all know that an appetizer is before our dinner and is a fill-in until the dinner arrives. In life, some relationships are to be an appetizer and absolutely nothing more. Basically, they are only a filler until the real deal. After a while, we look for our meal with great expectation. There is nothing like the “Main Course!”
Similarly, we know there may be several insignificant entries before that significant person enters our life. However, at some point, we are still looking for more than the appetizers that only serve to tease our appetite. Otherwise, we want the “Main Course!” God has in store for us. Never feel that waiting is invaluable because it is not. Timing is everything, but only God’s timing is the best.
Hence, yes, waiting can be challenging, the same as waiting for a delicious meal can be exhausting, especially when you see everyone else’s meal going past you. Nevertheless, know you may be the next one to receive your blessing. Moreover, remember the best is yet to come. Be encouraged, dear ones. Despite what it looks like, God has not forgotten you. Your “Main Course!” is coming or may have already arrived. Hmmm! Look for it! Be grateful and bless God for it. Therefore I look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me. Micah 7:7. I’ll be back next week with a new post, “Don’t Waste Time!”
Be encouraged, and God bless!
