“Look in the Mirror!”

Do you ever take the time to look at yourself in the mirror? Not to see your natural beauty, but to see your spiritual beauty or lack thereof. What do I mean? More often than not, we need to take a close look at ourselves and do a deep examination. “Look in the Mirror!” and ask yourself a few spiritual questions, such as, “How does God view me? Do I appear to be faithful to Him? Can Jesus count on me to be loving and kind even when others hurt me? Am I a faithful tither and offering payer? Accordingly, as I walk before Him, will He be able one day to say, “Well done, good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of the Lord.” Hence, there is a great deal for us to consider as we examine our lives.

Hopefully, this post will serve as a reminder that we have no time to waste judging others we know or are in a relationship with. It’s easy to see the mote in someone else’s eye, but what about the big beam in your eye? Take a timeout from being judgmental and critical of others. I know you have heard it, like me, for many years that Jesus is soon to come, but that time is closer than we know. On the other hand, the rate of people leaving this earth is bewildering. Every day or so, we learn of someone’s death. Young people, children, babies, and older individuals appear to be rushing to the afterlife. But God! We are still alive. It’s time to “Look in the Mirror!” and make sure our life is in order.

Hopefully, you receive the message and take the time to self-examine, making adjustments in your life that will lead to greater spiritual growth. Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? I’ll return next week with a new post, “Be Free!”

Be encouraged, and God bless!

AMEN!!! Very well-stated. As for me, I’m trying all I know how to not “evaluate” the life of another whether they have issues, flaws, or faults, but, to first evaluate “me, myself, and, I” – which is more than enough for me to keep up with LOL! For my greatest desire is to hear my Lord say to me “Well done, good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of the Lord.”
Thank you so much for this powerful reminder, for as we self-reflect and work out our own soul salvation “first”, then we can, better and more effectively, be of help to someone else, to help them do the same.
May God Bless and Keep you safe and secure in His loving and Powerful Hands, ALWAYS!!!

Well stated Sis. Audrey! It is more than enough to keep watch on our own life. Really no time to “evaluate ” anyone else. Thank you for always giving thoughtful and wise comments. May our awesome God continue to provide you with words of encouragement and wisdom. God bless you!
