“Leave It Behind!”

We are four days away from the new year, can you believe it? How time flies whether you are having fun or not. By now, most of us probably thought that the pandemic would be in our rearview mirror. I certainly hoped it would be a part of our tragic history with no repeat soon. I recall the onset of the pandemic when businesses had to close along with schools entering the virtual model. My oldest granddaughter made a statement. She said, “Grandma, this virus is messing up everything!” Little did she know the truth of that statement! Almost two years later, we are in a better situation, but normalcy as we know it is not present. So, how do we move forward with our feelings and emotional stability? Be wise, but our worries “Leave It Behind!’

Henceforth looking back at everything wrong in our life or unpleasant occurrences will only hold us hostage. Who wants to be a prisoner? Not I. The past we cannot ever change. Oh, how I wish I could change or rearrange some things in my past. You probably would do the same thing, but we can’t. What we can do is press forward and keep our eyes on the Lord. Looking unto the hills from whence cometh our help will support us in a better frame of mind. We can have regrets, but after that, move on. Don’t dwell on what could have been or should have been. It’s not a comfortable place to be. “Leave It Behind!”

As I conclude, and we look forward by the grace of God moving into a new year, let’s trust God for all things in our life. If you have been in a financial bind, stormy relationship, depression, loneliness, or other terrible situations, say to yourself, “Leave It Behind!” 2022 will have its problematic situations, so don’t carry the ones you have now into the new year. And can you please do something for me? Pray, Pray, Pray like never before that God will move us beyond where we are now to a better place with more normalcy. I trust Him to do mighty works in the new year and our lives. Do you? The Lord our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount: Deuteronomy 1:6. I’ll be back next week with a new post, “Inspired To Go Further!”

Be encouraged, and God bless!
