Life will bring us hurdles along the way, but the key is how do we handle them in the best possible manner. I am sure each of us could list a mile long the challenges we have encountered this last year during the pandemic. But, even before we entered this new norm, problems plagued us from time to time. A few weeks ago, someone close to me experienced a dilemma that seemed to have no solution in sight. As the person expressed their frustration and disappointment, my response was, “I am encouraged.” I also told the person, “I am learning in life to jump over hurdles!” That statement prompted me to write this post, “Learn to Jump!”
Undoubtedly, sometimes our disappointment will cause us to want to give up and not take a leap of faith. The person felt this way. She stated, “I don’t want to jump!” and even included an image in her text response of someone attempting to jump over a hurdle and fall flat on the ground. Isn’t that just like life? Our attempts may fail and leave us discouraged.
Nevertheless, I can only do what I do best, and that is to pray. Next, the person proceeded to seek another way of solving the issue at hand. And by golly, a positive result occurred. When we pursue what we want through prayer and faith, we can “jump” over our hurdles in life. “Learn to Jump!”
In like manner, let us encourage each other to not give up on our journey but learn to jump over our heartaches, pain, disappointments, frustrations, and brokenness. No hurdle is too high for God. No situation, no matter how insignificant it may appear, is too hard for our incredible Savior. Keep pressing forward, trust God, and stand on His word for every aspect of our life. Henceforth, He will never, ever fail us. He knows the plans He has for us. They are to prosper us and give us the best in life. Even though every answer from God may not suit our liking or be what we want to hear, it will always work for our good. “Learn to Jump!”
Without a doubt, God wants us to learn how to get beyond the painful occurrences in our life. Our feelings are not insignificant to our heavenly Father. My sweet sisters and noble brothers who are reading this post don’t ever let challenges stop you in your tracks. Learn to Jump!” Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee. Jeremiah 32:17. I’ll be back next week with a new post, “There Is Nothing Quiet About God!”
Be encouraged, and God bless!
Sister Jackie
Sister Jackie, by God,s gravy and mercy I am learning to “jump” a little higher. Also, for such a friend in Christ, Sister Jackie, I am remaining anchored in his word. I say this with much love and appreciation for such a woman of God.
