A few weeks ago, I texted one of my neighbors because I hadn’t seen her and her husband for a while. They own another home in the mountains, but they are usually not away for such long periods. My neighbor responded that all was well and made another statement that stood out to me. She said, “Just Living the Dream!” Wow! How many of us can say at this very moment the same statement? Think about it. You may ask, what is the dream? That is entirely up to you. No one can define your dreams.
To be sure, everyone’s dreams are different. We all have personal goals and objectives we hope to achieve in our life. Furthermore, before we can dream, we need to know what we are trying to accomplish or achieve. Even more just my opinion, but I believe when we are truly living our dream, a certain amount of contentment tags along. Of course, every day of our life may not be a bed of roses, but it should not be a bed of thorns. Even in my neighbor’s text, I could sense her contentment. Do you feel content enough to say without someone directly asking you about your dreams that you are “Just Living the Dream!”
As I close, do you have dreams in your life? Are you dreaming of living your best life at this time? Growing older will change some of our plans, while others stay on “repeat.” With so much happening daily in this world, whatever we dream of should align with God’s will for our life. Hence we will only know His will by staying in close communication with Him. Often our dreams involve other people and relationships, which is fine, but we should never forget that we are responsible for our joy. No one can hinder us from being joyful unless we allow them. “Just Living the Dream!” is that you? Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalms 16:11. I’ll be back next week with a new post, “The Struggle Is Real!”
Be encouraged, and God bless!
