The days are passing by so quickly. At every turn, the bad news is waiting for someone to share. At the time of this writing, two people I know of have passed away in their early years of life. No more is death a sign of old age. It appears the new norm is the passing of young or middle-aged individuals. What is happening in this world? So much tribulation, pain, and heartache. What is a person to do? Yes, we love and trust God, but it is still painful to hear of many daily tragedies. Nevertheless, put all of life’s woes aside and think about those things that are lovely and pure, beautiful and just. “Just for Today!”
Additionally, today’s problems are not only on the outside but also on the inside of many homes. Individuals struggle to make ends meet or keep up with their obligations. Pressures of life can sometimes bring more discord to family relationships. If you are struggling to keep harmony in your relationships or home, take a moment to stop, and take a deep breath while focusing on what is correct and working. Do it, if only “Just for Today!”
Furthermore, do you know that frequently we are the ones to make things appear worse than they are? Less focus on the negative and more reading the Word of God can change our perspective on life. Our mental health can be challenging and overwhelming if we allow ourselves to get pulled into life’s difficulties But, don’t “Just for Today!”
As I end this post, please do one thing for me. Today, forget your disappointments, frustrations, worries, financial woes, and relationship hardships, whether personal, family, or work-related. Hence as you let everything go on this day, think about how it makes you feel. Remember, no worries at all are allowed. Will you respond to this post, please, and share your feelings about letting go? I would love to read your responses, and so would others. It may be challenging because of some difficulties you may be facing, but please try. “Just for Today!” Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. James 4:14. I’ll be back next week with a new post, “Seek Counsel!”
Be encouraged, and God bless!
Sister Jackie
Thank you Sister Jackie for your words of encouragement,
This was exactly what I needed today.
Go Bless you.
Thank you so much for responding, and may this day be a worry-free and joyful day for you! God bless you exceedingly and abundantly above all you can ask or visualize in your life!
Thank you Jackie for the wonderful words of wisdom and encouragement. When I think of this world’s condition and the wickedness in high places, I am assured that it’s just another day that the Lord has kept us. It is the mercies of God that we are not consumed. I am old fashioned enough to still believe in miracles. And like you, I know that God will still do exceedingly and abundantly more than we can ask or think. Love Mom
Thank you, Mom, for commenting on this post. And I, too, believe in miracles because we serve a miracle-producing God! May this day be a gloriously filled, joyful day for you. Only joy and peace as only our loving God can give. Today look for a miracle, too, Mom!!! Love you.
I choose “JOY” today!!!
