“Joy Like It’s Christmas!”

You may be wondering what I will be talking about in this post. I will get to the point now. Everyone knows I love Christmas, and many people experience Christmas joy during the year’s most beautiful season. Christmas is so popular that there are places where people celebrate Christmas all year long. In Tennessee, there is a hotel called “The Christmas Place.” It has a Christmas theme all year. Those who know the Lord understand Christmas’s true meaning and significance. Therefore, the mere mention of Christmas brings joy. Hence, when everything seems sideways, we must muster “Joy Like It’s Christmas!” That should be enough to bring a smile to anyone’s face.

Our country is in a crisis, and many people face hardships. Wherever you look or turn the television on, something is always happening to bring your spirit down. Any peace or joy we have must come from within. The love of God is what keeps us in our right minds. The Bible tells us to think about things that are lovely and pure. That will not happen if we do not focus on the goodness of God. Christmas, to me, explodes with joy, love, and peace, and whenever I think about Christmas, I have such great joy, regardless of what is going on. Every Friday, Hallmark plays a Christmas movie; although they do not overall speak of Jesus’ birth (some do), they do talk about the love of family and precious times with the ones we love. “Joy Like It’s Christmas!”

Today, if you are feeling less than joyful, your relationships are not going well, your finances are slim, your health needs repair, or you are looking for love in the wrong places. You need “Joy Like It’s Christmas!” Christmas joy is like no other kind of joy. No matter how cold it is, nor how much heartache you may be experiencing, you will feel better if you can think about the true meaning of Christmas and the joy it brings. Let’s turn things around in our thinking. But godliness with contentment is great gain. 1 Timothy 6:6. I’ll return next week with a new post, “Heal the Wounds!”

Be encouraged, and God bless!
