“Jesus Is Christmas!”

Often, I think, with all the hustle and bustle of the season, we can easily forget the reason for the season. How many times do we say it’s not about the gifts or presents, nor is it about the beautiful decorations on a tree? Without a doubt, it certainly isn’t about the figure we call “Santa Claus.” Assuredly, this whole beautiful, lovely season is about one person. “Jesus Is Christmas!” How to the point and simple is that!” Yes, there are individuals born on Christmas Day. Hence, they are to receive their well wishes just as someone born on any day would. After all, we do celebrate birthdays. Nevertheless, people take Christmas to another level that has nothing to do with celebrating Jesus. Nor is it their birthday!

Please let this  post remind you that celebrating Jesus’ birth is not distressful. It doesn’t cost us anything (at least it shouldn’t). Jesus is the best gift we can receive in our lives. Therefore, treasure the gift, hold onto Him.  Appreciate the ultimate sacrifice He made for us on Calvary. With all this said, if you worry that you cannot afford to do some of the things you did last Christmas. Stop now. “Jesus is Christmas!”, plain and simple. He does not require spending money or celebrations that have absolutely nothing to do with Him.

Hope these few words bring you some relief and will lessen your credit card payments in the new year. God bless you. Hold onto the relationship you have with Jesus as we move toward a new year. And as you celebrate Christmas this year with family and friends, keep Jesus at the center. Why? Because  “Jesus is Christmas!”And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14. I’ll return next week with a new post, “Christmas Goodness!”

Be encouraged, and God bless!

Very well stated: “Yes, there are individuals born on Christmas Day. Hence, they are to receive their well wishes just as someone born on any day would. After all, we do celebrate birthdays. Nevertheless, people take Christmas to another level that has nothing to do with celebrating Jesus. Nor is it their birthday!”
So true, if the only “gift giving” was to those that were born on Dec. 25, it would be a tremendous “debt relief” and burden eliminated for so many. And a lot less hurt feelings for those that didn’t get gifts or didn’t get the gifts that they felt they deserve. But, the race horse has been let out the gate…!
You are always so on point with your blog posts. May God continue to Bless you my sister-in-Christ!🌟

I LOVE your comments, Sis. Audrey. You are absolutely right! “So true, if the only “gift giving” was to those that were born on Dec. 25, it would be a tremendous “debt relief” and burden eliminated for so many.” The whole paragraph you wrote is so true. Maybe, maybe as the economy keeps getting worse. Gift-buying will decrease, and then the focus can shift more toward the ultimate gift: Jesus! God bless you for your thoughtful words of wisdom. Christmas blessings to you!
