As I write this post, I think of how grateful I am for the miracle and blessings in my life in 2024. As always, I write my posts in advance. I am writing this one on the 10th of December! I pray that you and I will read this post on the 31st of December. “It’s New Year’s Eve!” If you are like me, don’t take anything for granted. My mother would say every year during this time that every year carries a number. I never forget those words. Seemingly, just about every other day or so, I hear news of someone passing away. And the majority of the time, it’s someone reasonably young. In November, I lost my eldest nephew, who was only 45. It was a devasting loss, but God!
Hence, as we have breath in our bodies today, we must ensure our walk with God is pure. Are you upset by anyone who has done you wrong or mistreated you for no reason? Do you have transgressions for which you have not asked forgiveness? Trusting your money, friends, possessions, etc., more than God, is that you? If you answer yes to these questions, stop, take a moment, and seek God’s forgiveness and mercy. Why? Because we do not want to enter a new year if God allows us with baggage on us. Unforgiveness is baggage, not trusting God, but other things are baggage. Get rid of the garbage. “It’s New Year’s Eve!”
As I end this post, I continue praising God for His mercy and grace. We don’t deserve all He does for us, but He loves us so much that He will look beyond our thoughts and see our desperate needs. If you have a watch service this evening, I hope you can attend. Henceforth, enter His gates with lots of thanksgiving and enter his court with praise. I pray we all make it to the other side of 2024 and begin 2025 with a shout of praise.
By doing so, our relationship with our heavenly father will gain strength, as will our relationships with others on this earth. God bless you! It’s New Year’s Eve!” Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. Revelation 3:3. I’ll return next week with a new post, “A Blessing Or A Lesson?”
Be encouraged, and God bless!
