Here we are again, “It’s Christmas Eve!” Oh, I don’t want this beautiful season to end. Although we celebrate the Lord daily, or at least we should, it is something special during this time. It’s just like when we have a birthday; we especially celebrate the day but are grateful for life every day. What are you doing this Christmas Eve? Are you yet shopping or baking those delectable sweet treats? Or are you away with family doing something special? I always write these posts in advance, so I am writing this one in advance. Prayerfully, as it posts on Christmas Eve, I will be with my beloved family in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee. “It’s Christmas Eve!”
Additionally, this Christmas Eve is our Mourning Women’s Prayer time at 9:00 am on the teleconference because it is a Tuesday. Who is to be one of the mothers to pray today? It’s me, and I am humbled and grateful to let God know how thankful we are for His Son. He sent His only begotten Son to earth to redeem us. He didn’t come in any grand manner but was born in a stable and laid in a manger. I can only imagine the joy Mary felt when she gave birth to the Savior of this world. “It’s Christmas Eve!”
I conclude because I know you are busy doing last-minute preparations, and I am grateful you took the time to read this post. Please take a few minutes today to refresh your mind with the reason for the season. Hence, it’s not about the gifts, beautiful trees, and shiny ornaments. The delicious foods and sweet treats are not important. Without a doubt, it’s about the gift we have- the gift of Jesus Christ. Enjoy this day with loved ones while preparing for Christmas Day. Spread some love and joy if you leave your home so someone may see the love of Jesus in you. “It’s Christmas Eve!” What a glorious day! Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14. I’ll return next week with a new post, “It’s New Year’s Eve!”
Be encouraged, and God bless!
