“Insist On It!”

Life is getting more challenging as the days go by. Turning on our televisions brings more dismal news than messages of joy. Nevertheless, we must look for joyful matters and not allow unhappiness to rule us. Otherwise, “Insist On It!” Insist that you have a cheerful mind, not one cloudy with negative thoughts. Do you know people so unhappy with their life’s circumstances that they are in a rut? Hence, they often find it hard to make it through the day.

As Christians, we know the power of God and what He can do, but as humans, we often succumb to feelings of gloom. Is everything the way I want it to be in my life? Certainly not, but I am so grateful it is well with my soul. You probably feel the same way. Matters could always be worse; don’t ever forget that! Consequently, as long as we live and breathe, troubles will come the same as joy takes its turn. However, we must not only seek peace within, but we must “Insist On It!”

As I conclude this post, I encourage you, my sisters and brothers, who may read it, to know that our state of being is a choice. Therefore, we can choose to be content in whatever state we find ourselves in or kick and scream, which does not help. Although some situations are tough on us, none should alter our relationship with our Savior. I reminded someone recently to look unto the hills from whence cometh our help (Psalm 121). If we do that, strength will come. Don’t give up; don’t let go of the promises of God. He will always make good on His promises! “Insist On It!” Insist that you are a victor, not a victim of life. Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord. Psalm 31:24. I’ll return next week with a new post, “Think Before Speaking!”

Be encouraged, and God bless!

Sister Jackie
