“In Times Like These!”

When I was writing this post, I had just lost a close friend of many years. Her death wasn’t sudden but heartbreaking and likely due to the circumstances of her illness. She did not receive the vaccine, which led to her contracting Covid 19 and spending many days on a ventilator. God is a healer, and I sent up prayers diligently along with so many others that she lives and recovers. But, she did not survive. Before this, someone else dear to me passed due to other health issues. Lastly, in this same period, one of my closest friends began to experience serious health challenges. “In Times Like These!” we need a Savior.

Henceforth, I am simply writing this post to remind everyone that we are in the end times and must have our house in order. Therefore, this is not the time to hold grudges against anyone. If there is someone you have been in disagreement with, don’t wait for them to step forward. You do it. Tell them you want to make things right. Relationships are suffering today because no one wants to say I am sorry or I am wrong. Part of building genuine close relationships is knowing when to come forward to ensure that the relationship can thrive. “In Times Like These!” we have much work to do.

Additionally, we don’t know when God will call us home. It is a journey we all must take unless he allows us to be alive when He returns. But in any case, we need to prepare to meet Jesus at all times. The pandemic and other social ills of society are perplexing and generate feelings of despair and sometimes fear even though we know God. Each day of our life should center around doing God’s will and bringing others to Christ. How can we, if we are not in good standing with our neighbors, family(natural and church family), friends, co-workers, etc.? We cannot love God whom we have not seen if we don’t love those we see daily. “In Times Like These!” we need to run this human race with Godly diligence.

In the end, only what we do for Christ will last, not material things, wealth or fame. I implore you, dear readers, to ensure that your relationships with others are in good standing no matter what it takes on your part. You are only responsible for yourself. If your gestures and offering of peace are not received, that is not your worry. We don’t know what tomorrow holds, neither today. All of us can make it through this season with the help of God. Whether on broken pieces, a thread, or a prayer of hope, trusting God is what is necessary “In Times Like These!” But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Matthew 24:13. I’ll be back next week with a new post, “The Journey Matters!”

Be encouraged, and God bless!

Yes, without communication, relationships sink quickly. Words can change the course of things, and in this season we live in, carefully choosing our words is essential. Thank you so much for your thoughtful comments. God bless you, and heaven smile upon you in such a time as this.
