“I Don’t Like Messy!”

This post will be short and to the point. “I Don’t Like Messy!” You are probably thinking of a messy house, car, other places we know, and any material object that is out of order. I am not discussing any of those mentioned, although I like physical items to be in order. However, I am referring to people in messy relationships. What constitutes messy? Individuals who appear to have little or no direction in life. They haphazardly live with no regard for those close to them. Furthermore, so many things need to be in order; sadly, they don’t even notice!

Specifically, there must be some order when two people are in a relationship, whether with a significant other or a marriage partner. Granted, no two individuals are identical, and they should balance the relationship with the strengths and weaknesses they both carry. Hence, communication, compromise, and commitment play a role. Nevertheless, one person cannot bear all the burdens in a relationship. “I Don’t Like Messy!” you understand if you have been in a messy relationship.

This post was supposed to be short. When the person close to you is not dependable with their finances, work habits, or taking care of everyday business, they are messy! Most importantly, my dear sisters don’t settle for the mess. If you have to take the lead in everything, think twice. Be watchful and prayerful when you first begin a relationship with someone. Look out for signs of messiness. Does the person have questionable or plain lousy credit? If so, know the effect it may have in your future dealings.

In conclusion, everyone goes through difficult times in life, but we try not to stay in that place. One last point, if things don’t feel right, look right, or appear correct, they aren’t. Why? Because there is some messiness behind the scenes. I don’t know who specifically this message is for, but as for me, “I Don’t Like Messy!” And don’t want it in my life. I have been there and done that! How about you? Let all things be done decently and in order. 1 Corinthians 14:40. I’ll be back next week with a new post, “Another Year!”

Be encouraged, and God bless!

Sister Jackie
