“Humility!”

No one likes to be wrong, but sometimes we are. Whether we openly admit our faults or not, we are far from perfect. Therefore, one of the sweetest and most loving things we can do in a relationship is to exhibit “Humility!” God expects and loves a humble person. If Jesus didn’t have a humble spirit, I don’t believe He would have gone through the pain and suffering of the cross. Jesus did nothing wrong. His relationship with His Father and the one He would have with us required humility.

Consequently, when our relationships begin to crumble or yield brokenness, it is time to humble ourselves. Hence, a humble heart and willingness to admit we are wrong shows our true inner self and relationship with God. As often I have said, a good relationship with God helps to enrich all other relationships. Do you struggle long and hard with being humble with others? Grant it; I know people do not make it easy for others to be humble. Their self-actions can cause you, even when you are wrong, not to want to be humble. We understand that. Nevertheless, “Humility!” is the only way that anything positive can come forth from a challenging situation.

In the end, if we are Christians, we want to show the love of Christ in our daily walk and every relationship. Our show of “Humility!” can encourage others to have a humble attitude when we are in personal and other types of relationships. My First Lady at church often reminds the women to have a humble spirit. The Bible encourages us with many examples of how we should exhibit meekness and humility. Without a doubt, life can be much sweeter when we take on a humble role. Are you struggling with being humble? Ask God to help you, and He will. We all need a reminder sometimes. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. James 4:10. I’ll be back next week with a new post, “Pray!”

Be encouraged, and God bless!

Love it! “Without a doubt, life can be much sweeter when we take on a humble role.”
And, I might add that humility brings peace with it, and less anxiety, – speaking for myself.
“By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life.” – Proverbs 22:4
Thanks again for sharing much needed words of Godly instruction on “Humility”.
May You be continually encouraged my dear sister-in-Christ, as God continues to bless, lead, guide and keep you.
