When everything is going wrong and life appears not to be on your side, where do you turn? “How Do You Cope?” As I sit and watch the daily news sometimes, all I can think is, ‘We need you, Lord.’ Additionally, when speaking with others, it makes me wonder. How are people who don’t know the Lord managing to survive? We live in perilous times. So again I ask you, “How Do You Cope?” I encourage you, dear readers, to establish a deep and lasting relationship with Christ.
Is it important to have good family relationships, personal relationships, and co-worker relationships? To each of those entities, I say, “Yes!” Nevertheless, those relationships can only be strong and relevant if we have a Godly relationship. There is a pervasive hatred, envy, and a lack of humanity evident among individuals today. However, as the bible stresses, let it not be named among the people of God.
Furthermore, know that it is not a weakness to lean on others for support. Hence, I know it is difficult for many people to open up to others and be transparent. That can be very difficult for people who consider themselves “private individuals.” I do understand. Although I don’t encourage people to be an open book concerning their lives. I encourage people to seek help when things appear overwhelming in their daily lives. I am a former guidance counselor who counseled not only children but also adults. Therefore, I understand the value of counseling.
Consequently, some folks need counseling even though they are confessing Christianity. They need both Jesus and therapy. I don’t know who I am talking to today, but this is what is in my heart to impart to you via this post. “How Do You Cope?” Hopefully, we all have a prayer life, read our Bibles daily, and fast to some degree on a weekly basis.
In summary, keeping up with this changing world and not feeling its overwhelming surge is not easy. However, we can make it. We can cope and make it through trials, heartaches, and tribulations. Without a doubt, the burdens of our lives don’t belong to us, so why carry them? Trust in God and follow the teachings of Christ. Connect with a Bible-believing church (if you are not already part of one). Further connect with other believers for support. Natural families and spiritual families are so important.
My sisters know that iron sharpens iron, and we can make it on broken pieces. “How Do You Cope?” with the stresses in your life? Please share your thoughts on this blog. You might just help somebody! And call upon me in the day of trouble:I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. Psalm 50:15. I’ll return next week with a new post, “A Perfect Day!”
Be encouraged, and God bless!
