It is easy to give up and be discouraged by what is going on in the world. Nevertheless, it is not the time to faint and be stuck in a whirlwind of hopelessness. No matter what is going on, “Hold Onto Hope!” As the songwriter proclaims,’ My hope is built on nothing else, but Jesus Christ and righteousness.’ Losing hope opens the door to a lack of faith. How can we hold onto faith if we lack faith? Debilitating circumstances, losses, broken relationships, and promises can weaken our faith if we don’t have any level of hope.
Furthermore, do not allow the voices of other people to make you doubt what you know. We must know that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. Everyone carries their level of faith in the assurances of what our Savior can perform and do on their behalf. My sisters, if you are weak in your faith, please be careful of who you associate with. The old saying says ‘birds of a feather stick together’. Hence, surround yourself with positive individuals. “Hold Onto Hope!”
What are you hoping for in your life, or in the lives of your loved ones? Do these hopes require an extreme level of faith? Undoubtedly, many things we face require us to really trust God, because absolutely no one else can do for us what we need. Billions of dollars cannot even solve our problems. If we keep hope alive within us, we will continue to face each day with the certainty of what God can do. “Hold Onto Hope!” Never stop hoping because if you do, what’s left? For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? Romans 8:24. I’ll return next week with a new post, “Thankful and So Grateful!”

AMEN!!! “…absolutely no one else can do for us what we need.” Nobody BUT God!!! “…do not allow the voices of other people to make you doubt what you know.” Because misery loves company!!! “…please be careful of who you associate with(or listen to, and is influenced by). The old saying says ‘birds of a feather stick(flock) together’. Hence, surround yourself with positive individuals. “Hold Onto Hope!” As for me, I am “Holding on to the blessed Hope that only comes from our God, for He is my EVERYTHING, my faith is in Him “alone” totally. I truly Thank God for Jesus!
Thank you so much Sis Jackie for sharing these powerful words of encouragement. This made me think of when Jessie Jackson made his now famous speech, “Keep Hope Alive”! For even the strong in faith can sometimes have moments of thoughts of uncertainty, for we are emotional beings. And may God continue to keep your faith strong too, all along every avenue of your journey of life.
