By His stripes, we receive our healing; do you believe that? So much healing needs to take place in all of our lives. Beyond physical healing, emotional healing is what many people desire and need. After all, if the mind is in need of repair, the whole body feels the effects. Often, the deepest wounds do not come from an unknown source but from those closest to us. Hence, if affliction comes from your enemy, you can understand that more so, but when it comes from the ones you love! Undoubtedly, it is a hard pill to swallow. “Heal the Wounds!” We need God’s healing grace.
Where do you think the healing must begin? It is essential to know the beginning of our wound healing. I wholeheartedly believe it starts within ourselves. Usually, wounds come about from someone hurting us. Whether through words or deeds. First, we should acknowledge our hurt and the one afflicting the heartache. Next, most essential is our willingness to forgive our transgressor! If we cannot forgive someone, the wounds only dig deeper within us. Is it easy to forgive others? Let’s be for real. Sometimes, no, but we must forgive the same as others forgive our transgressions. “Heal the Wounds!”
In brief, when we feel the pain of emotional wounds, it is vital to acknowledge the pain for what it is. Next, work on ourselves to forgive those who have hurt us. Forgiveness benefits us more than the one we forgive. Lastly, remember, first and foremost, that life is much too short to allow anger, bitterness, and emotional pain to rule in our lives. Each day, God’s grace will enable me to see a new day. And I feel so much joy, regardless of what is happening. A new day gives a new opportunity to improve things with God’s help. Therefore, ask Him to “Heal the Wounds!” in your life and live like it’s your last day on earth! He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. Psalm 147:3. I’ll return next week with a new post, “Ending or Beginning?”
Be encouraged, and God bless!
Sister Jackie
Love it! Myself, and maybe many others, mostly think of these words, “by his, “Jesus”, stripes we are healed”, as only relating to physical health. Sometimes, many of us may not think of needing a healing of our mental health, our minds and its effect on the whole being in relationship to these holy words of promise. But you really engaged my enlightenment in how you expressed it as for both physical and mental healing! I will look at these words of promise in a different light from now on. For I truly believe!!!
“By His stripes, we receive our healing; do you believe that? So much healing needs to take place in all of our lives. Beyond physical healing, emotional healing is what many people desire and need. After all, if the mind is in need of repair, the whole body feels the effects.”
May God continue to bless you, keep you, enrich and guide you, in your kingdom work, both on the natural and the spiritual!
Thank you so much, Sis. Audrey, for your thoughtful comments and words of encouragement. I truly appreciate you. May the great and sovereign God keep us all in perfect peace, mentally and with our physical being. God bless and keep you always in your anointed walk with Him.
