“Happy Thanksgiving!”

Can you believe Thanksgiving is here again? A year ago, with the pandemic in full swing, we weren’t able to be close to family and friends. It was a blessing even to be alive when Thanksgiving arrived. But, God! If you are reading this post, you have made it to another Thanksgiving Day in a pandemic. Even though with the vaccine, people can cautiously be with some family members and maybe friends this year, we yet have a way to go to get back to actual normalcy. However, I am so thankful for God’s hand of protection and every blessing He gave to keep us thriving and surviving. “Happy Thanksgiving!”

Despite the challenges we have faced over the last year and a half, I know you are counting your blessings as I am. Let’s wholeheartedly cherish each moment we have with our loved ones, family, and friends. Know that life is more precious than diamonds, rubies, or pearls. Use this day to let someone know that you love and appreciate them. Even if it’s just with a quick call while you are cooking your turkey, collard greens, string beans, macaroni, and cheese, and don’t forget the yams 😊. “Happy Thanksgiving!”

Most significantly, have a forgiving heart if someone has wronged you or ask forgiveness if you are the offender. Let nothing take away the joy of this special day. So many didn’t make it to this day, but you did. Enjoy it and savor every moment regardless of what is happening in the world or your surroundings. Celebrate safely and thankfully in whatever manner that you can. Lastly, know that I am thankful for each of you who take the time to visit my website. “Happy Thanksgiving!” dear readers. You are very special to me.

With a grateful heart!
Sister Jackie

Thank you Jackie for your comments; reminding us of our many blessings; our Savior and King; family and friends and life itself.
I am grateful for all of the above and more.
Spending this holiday with my sister in Florida.
On yesterday, we got a chance to fellowship and eat a wonderful meal with close family members.
We gathered at my niece’s house, under a large tent in her backyard. The weather was a gorgeous 74, with a light cool wind blowing, swaying the large trees back and forth as if they were fanning us.
The little ones ran around, playing outdoor games and hide and seek (do you remember that one).
My sister, whose ill, was able to sit among us for quite some time; something she has not been able to do for about a year, and enjoy herself and family as they rallied around her. each wearing their mask.

It was such and enjoyable day.
    It was a thankful day.
It was the day that The Lord had made.
It was a gift from God.
We gave Him praise and worship.
Anyone that can make a day, deserves to be praised

Yes, I remember “hide and seek” those were the days! I was so happy that your sweet sister was able to be with family for Thanksgiving. What a blessing! I prayed that she would be physically able to enjoy that day with family. God is awesome. It was a pleasure for me to hear her sweet voice on Thanksgiving. Thank you for the call. Brenda, you are such a blessing to your family and so many others. I include myself as family, and you continually bless me. To sum this all up, I sincerely agree that “Anyone that can make a day deserves to be praised.” Thankful for every blessing from God above! May God’s continued love flow to you, and may the Lord bless you real good! Thank you so very much for taking the time to share your beautiful comments about your day of Thanksgiving!

Wonderful words of reminders and encouragements. All of our lives, God has been faithful. We recall the Thanksgiving mornings that our Mother’s was in the kitchen finishing up her last minute dishes. Those were the day my Friend. You’re children now rise up and call you Blessed. Love Mom
