During this beautiful month of giving and sharing, I remind myself of the many things I am thankful for. Let me begin with my most precious relationship with my Savior, Jesus Christ. There are so many things that He has done for me, not only this year but every year of my life. Hence, when I pray, I often ask for nothing but to express my gratitude for all He has done for me. Do you ever do that? Only give thanks and ask for nothing. Sometimes, we just need to say “thank you” and ask for nothing for ourselves or anyone else. “Give thanks!”
Despite the relationships we have in this life. None of them compare, whether personal with a spouse or significant other, or family, co-workers, or spiritual ties. Today, I write this post the day after our elections. I know I am glad I have Christ in my life. None of us know what tomorrow holds, but with assurance, we know who holds tomorrow. So, we can “Give Thanks!” Take a moment to count your blessings; name as many as possible. Furthermore, don’t forget to give thanks as you name each one. As I think about the blessings of God toward me, I have so much joy.
In conclusion, let me remind you that God is good regardless of our circumstances or state of being. The more we have an attitude of gratitude, the more joy, strength, and faith we will have. During this month of Thanksgiving, I ask you to commit to giving thanks daily, not just giving requests. Secondly, share the goodness of God. When the opportunity presents itself, encourage others to hold onto God. “Give Thanks!” O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. Psalms 136:1. I will return next week with a new post, “Family Thanks!”
Be encouraged, and God bless!

AMEN! I give Thanks daily to our God for all that He is to me and all of us. For, to me, He is my EVERYTHING!!! And when I think of the goodness of Jesus and ALL that he has done for me, my soul cries out HALLLEUJAH, Thank You God for saving me, for keeping me, and for always being there for me every moment of my life! Truly the Joy of The Lord is my strength, and I am humbly grateful to God in ALL of His goodness and greatness, for it is truly marvelous in my eyes. Thank You God for being my EVERYTHING! ALL praises, glory, reverence, and honor, I give to Thee, our God, alone!!!
And I am grateful for the faithful sisters, as you Sister Jackie, that continue to lift up The Name of The Lord in words of encouragement, instruction and enlightenment, to help us navigate the challenges of healing from the broken pieces of our hearts.
