I know you know it already, but I will say it anyway. God is so good. If we keep that thought in mind, we can soar above any troubles, heartaches, disappointments, and trials that come our way. Even when it seems complicated to manage life in general, when the going gets tough, all we need to say is, “Give Me Strength, Lord!” His strength provides what we need all day, every day! As I look at people or listen to them speak, I can see or hear the sadness or despair they carry. So much going on in families, jobs, you name it.
Nevertheless, dear hearts, we must hold on to God’s unchanging hand. Life is too short to be miserable. Who is responsible for our inner joy? We are. No external forces will lead to our happiness and ultimate pleasure in life. We must not let anyone steal our joy. That is not God’s way. “Give Me Strength, Lord!” So, if you are battling with brokenness, low self-esteem, heartbreak, and loneliness, to name a few, ask God for strength to climb your mountains.
Lastly, about two weeks ago, I had a procedure done that my body desperately needed. Before the surgery, I thought about family and the important things to me. Do you believe trivial matters, foolishness, or unkindness entered my mind? Not a chance. I focused on seeing myself get through the procedure and continue living an abundant life. Be encouraged, my sisters and everyone who reads this post. This post is specifically to inspire you. It’s time to let go of life’s trivial matters and live.
Without a doubt, life may not be all any of us desire. We may need more finances, meaningful relationships, or even good health. But holding onto God’s joy is so important. Let it be your joy today, tomorrow, and during hard times. Let’s all say, “Give Me Strength, Lord!” And then use the strength He gives you to move forward in life. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. Psalm 28:7. I’ll be back next week with a new post, “Choose the Day!”
Be encouraged, and God bless!
