“Experiences Have Power!”

Lessons we learn through experience are often the best teachers. How can we know if we have no exposure to the things of life? Do experiences always feel good? Definitely not, but they can help us avoid some things that will be uncomfortable for us down the line. The “old” folks (do you remember when?) would say if you make your bed hard, you have to sleep on it. Everything we encounter and go through in life yields an experience. “Experiences Have Power!” Our experiences will teach us in a way that no one else can. Therefore, we should want to experience some things in life. Going through challenges can make us stronger.

Our Savior allows specific experiences in our lives to occur so that we can know the way of Holiness. Often, our testimonies will serve as a basis for what we have gone through victoriously in our walk with the Lord. We must not fret about trials and tribulations. They do come to increase our strength and faith in God. Hence, every experience, whether good or bad, God allows. Why? Because He knows the path we must follow not only for ourselves but to lead others to Him. Be grateful for every experience because they are the will of God concerning us. “Experiences Have Power!”

Lastly, a person who has no experience of being in love or being loved may struggle to love others. Have you ever met someone you thought would be an excellent match, only to learn, based on your experience, that they are not the right person? Time, along with actual experiences, will change our minds about certain things and reveal who a person genuinely is. Some men and women do not understand what genuine love means. It begins with our love for God and others. Embrace your experiences, whether good or bad. They do shape the person we are and who we are to be. “Experiences Have Power!” As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 1 Peter 2:2. I’ll return next week with a new post, “See the Mercy, Not Just the Grace!”

Be encouraged, and God bless!

Love it! “We must not fret about trials and tribulations. They do come to increase our strength and faith in God. Hence, every experience, whether good or bad, God allows.”
For I, personally, have learned, from my good and bad experiences, how to love God first above all, then how to love myself, and then how to love others as He would have us to, and I am yet learning. For even in the learning of how to not fret and let our frustrations about situations overcome us, is, in itself, a great challenge most times, – because, even our God-given emotions can get in the way. For truly, our “Experiences Have Power!”
Sister Jackie, May God continue to bless and keep you and enrich you the more in the wisdom and knowledge and understanding to share with us to help us, that we may more effectively, navigate our journey through life.
