“Encourage Someone!”

From time to time, we all need encouragement. The world, in general, is changing. Familiar things are now foreign in nature to us. The love of many has waxed cold. Love thy neighbor is only a distant call to some. As a result, many people suffer from the loss of general caring and kindness from humanity. No one is exempt from trials, tribulations, and hardships in this life. There are wars, rumors of wars, inflation, racial inequities, hunger, illnesses, heartaches, and a yet present pandemic. But God! We all would perish. Nevertheless, difficulties can be more manageable if we would only “Encourage Someone!”

Primarily, we can strengthen relationships among family members, co-workers, friends, and others. People need to know that we care about them and what they are going through. Our circumstances may appear bleak and unbearable, but never forget there is someone worse off than you. Believe it. Therefore, amid our uncertainties, we will undoubtedly benefit from taking the time to put our feelings aside and “Encourage Someone!”

Additionally, do you know that laying our worries aside and trying to make someone else’s life a little more manageable gives us some relief from our troubles? If your mind isn’t circulating through everything wrong in your life and concentrating on someone else, this can be a stress reliever. Moreover, for me helping someone else who is experiencing a rough patch in their life, whether through prayer, tangible or monetary assistance, gives me wondrous joy. How often do you look at the news reports and sympathize with the suffering of others? I pray for the Ukrainians, those family members who have lost loved ones through senseless acts of violence and other calamities. It could have been me suffering the same atrocities. But God! “Encourage Someone!”

In the end, only what we do for Christ will last. God is love and expects us to be loving and kind. Supporting, encouraging, loving, and caring for our fellow man are examples of Christ-like characteristics in our life. Is it selfish to love yourself and want the best for yourself? No. Loving ourselves can help us love others and have a level of self-esteem.

Nevertheless, we ought to choose to put ourselves aside from time to time to help bear the infirmities of others. We are born with an innate desire to love and be loved. Everyone needs someone occasionally. Be that shoulder to lean on, and you will find yourself standing up taller in due time. “Encourage Someone!” Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. 1 Thessalonians 5:11. I’ll be back next week with a new post, “God’s Grace!”

Be encouraged, and God bless!

Ms. Jackie I couldn’t agree more. It really makes a difference when we reach out and encourage others. I have been on both the receiving and giving end. I discovered God will place it on your heart who to reach out to. When you are obedient to his instruction, you may find that person could be going through the same thing. It’s a reason he led you to them so you both can encourage and support each other.

Yes, obedience to the leading of God will always yield the best results in our life. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughtful comments. May our awesome God give you an overflow of blessings. God bless you!

I too have been on the receiving and giving end. I thank God that I have people in my life who encourage me. Recently I needed encouragement because of something that had happened and my soul was blessed when my sister came to me and said she had sought God on my behalf. Thank you Lord!

“Our circumstances may appear bleak and unbearable, but never forget there is someone worse off than you. Believe it.”
This comment that you stated is sadly true, that sometimes, in order for us to pull ourselves up out of despair, we have to see that someone else has it worse. Recently, I have been telling myself, that no matter how hard the trials I face seem, that I am not in “Sudan” suffering the horrible atrocities that the women there have been suffering for so long, and praying for them from the depth of my heart, knowing that but by the grace and mercy of our God, it could be me.
I give all the Glory to our God for His Grace and Mercy towards me(us), and do not take anything for granted.
Thank you again for opening our understanding to new levels. And so true, that being an encouragement to someone else, blesses the encourager also. It’s spiritual reciprocity in action.
May you continue to be encouraged through the Power, Love, and Word of God, as He continues to Bless and keep you.

So true! “But by the grace and mercy of our God, it could be me.” That is enough to make us grateful for whatever situation we are in because it could worsen. Thank you for your support and encouragement. I do not take it lightly. May God’s glory cover and uplift you beyond your imagination. God bless you!
