One subject I don’t usually talk about is jealousy. Why? Because I have always been of the mind there is no reason for anyone to have jealousy toward someone else. So what if someone is a millionaire and you are a dollaraire? I made up that term to mean having lots of dollars. A person does not have to have millions of dollars to be joyful and live a comfortable lifestyle. Do you agree? It isn’t beneficial to be jealous of what another person possesses. Whatever God has for us is for us. No one can take it away. “Don’t Be Jealous!”
Accordingly, in terms of relationships, some individuals spend an abundance of time being jealous of the relationship they think someone else has. Have you ever admired a couple and wished your relationship could be just like theirs? Maybe some jealousy creeps in because your relationship is in shambles. Despite what something looks like, remember you are on the outside looking, not on the inside of the relationship. Furthermore, just as the saying goes, the grass may not be as green as you think it is on the other side. Additionally, working on your relationship may turn your brown grass a little greener. “Don’t Be Jealous!”
Lastly, whether you see the signs or not, everyone goes through something from time to time. It simply is a fact of life. Thus, there will be struggles in relationships in this unstable world. Families may appear to have closeness among family members, but we can only look at others from the outside. Explicitly looking at our family members, we may see more good than bad. Our children may be more model citizens than we think if we know what is happening in other families. “Don’t Be Jealous!”
As I conclude, let’s not forget that jealousy is cruel and can lead us to a life of discontent, worries, and stress. Without a doubt, we yearn for happiness, joy, and contentment in our relationships, especially those that deal with matters of the heart. Nevertheless, judging our life by how other people are living their life is not healthy. Therefore, seeking God’s plan for our life will bring contentment and, expectantly, more joy and satisfaction. Let’s exhibit patience until we are where we desire to be in life, knowing that God is perfect and likes beautiful things for His children. Your more excellent is coming! If you hold on to God. “Don’t Be Jealous!”Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy? Proverbs 27:4.
I will spotlight guest writers in November through my “Sharing the Spotlight!” segment. I look forward to hearing what each one shares about “relationships.” So stay tuned for next week’s guest writer.
Be encouraged, and God bless!

Amen, Yes, and Amen again!!! Very plainly and well stated.
I’ve learned that being jealous can, not only block your blessings, but, it can also make you ill, make your body and mind sick. And I don’t think that no-one wants to be ill or have their blessings blocked. So thank you for this powerful reminder to “Don’t Be Jealous”!!!
Thank you for your thoughtful comments. The effects of jealousy are many of which we do not want to experience. God bless you, and may your blessings flow like a river!
