“Could It Be Right In Front Of You?”

Have you ever looked all over the place for something, only to find it right in front of you? How many times have you or someone you know looked for their glasses only to find them hanging on a chain around their neck or, worse, right on their face? Most individuals have preconceived ideas about the person they desire as a mate. They know how they want the person to look, act, and be as individuals to spend their lives with possibly. Understandably, nothing is wrong with that. We ought to set standards; otherwise, one may fall for just anyone. But, did you ever consider that you could miss what you need in your searching and desiring? Could it be right in front of you?

Sometimes, we may look for someone that is not what God desires for our purpose on this earth. For example, you may want a tall, good looking athletic-built man who has plenty of money, so you will never have to work another day in your life. But, did you ever consider that God has work for you to do in a select ministry?

Therefore, you may need a lifestyle that expresses to others your dependence on God for your strength and sustainability. Now I am not saying that God wants us to be poor. No. He is our heavenly Father, and He delights in His children having the best. But, He knows some of His children will not be as prayerful or faithful to Him if they have too much. God will always supply our needs if we trust Him and stand on His promises. Could it be right in front of you?

Simply, I am saying look closely at the people God has right in front of you. The person who is always smiling when they see you or continuously extending a helping hand. The person who you see and don’t see, a person who you consider a pal only. Hence, could that person be the one God has chosen to walk by your side in love? The person may not be super handsome, and for the guys who read this post, she may not be beautiful, curvy, and with long flowing hair. Nevertheless, the person will bring you the joy and love you crave in your life. Could it be right in front of you?

Lastly, never underestimate God or the power of His love. He knows what is best for each of us. I have learned enough to know that on our own, we will continuously make mistakes, look in the wrong direction for love, and can miss out on the blessing of God. Therefore, my sweet sisters and brothers who read this post wait on God foremost and subsequently use your spiritual eyes to see what God has for you. Being alone today does not necessarily mean that is God’s plan for your life. Maybe, just maybe, He is waiting on you to take off the sunglasses and look directly at the blessing He is waiting to give you.

As I conclude, look beyond the looks, the expected gains, and know there is no loss in Christ. You may get a surprise in the outcome. Do you have any personal stories of an unexpected blessing that led to a relationship? The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind: the Lord raiseth them that are bowed down: the Lord loveth the righteous. Psalm 146:8.I’ll be back next week with a new post, “Never Ever!”

Be encouraged, and God bless!
