“Come Out of the Boat!”

What keeps you from trusting God? Is it fear that what you ask for won’t be given to you? Maybe your relationship with Christ is not as strong as you would like it to be? Do you lack genuine faith in God? When the sea of life is stormy, and the wind of uncertainty blows hard, do you faint? Or, do you muster enough faith like Peter to at least, “Come Out of the Boat!”

As a result, of this pandemic, life has certainly changed as we know it, but God remains the same today and forever. Health issues, disease, financial woes, relationship problems, you name it, have never been a challenge for our Savior. Periodically, we need to do a faith check to evaluate where we are on the faith scale. Having faith makes a huge difference in our life. Without faith, think about it; we don’t even have a solid hope that everything will be alright, regardless of the circumstances. At some point, we all need a leap of faith and, “Come Out of the Boat!”

Henceforth, allow this post to serve as a reminder that God sees, hears, and knows everything concerning us. So, why not trust Him?  Thinking about some things I have petitioned God for, my faith sometimes wavered. Those petitions were not only for me but requests on behalf of others. With a more determined mind and spirit, I will “Come Out of the Boat!” and muster up the faith that will leave no room for doubt. Do you think you can do that, too? If so, choose something you have been praying about but not fully trusting God to do what you ask. Try as best you can to select a request that at least appears to be within the will of God. Don’t ask amiss.

Lastly, as you present your request to God, do so confidently and trusting God with all your might and strength. Pray about it three times a day or more. Fast about it. As you “Come Out of the Boat!” don’t take your eyes off of Jesus. Although winds of uncertainty may blow, be not dismayed or afraid like Peter. Jesus will not let you sink. Instead, dear Sisters, and to all reading, this post, be of good cheer.

As I conclude, faith without works is dead, and the first work is to ensure that we have a relationship with Jesus Christ that is in good standing. Relationships with family, spouses, friends, and significant others are great, but the best connection for answered prayers is with our loving Savior. When you step out of the boat, know that Jesus is waiting for you! We all are looking forward to hearing your praise reports very soon. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. St. Matthew 14:29. I’ll be back next week with a new post, “What Do You Attract?”

Be encouraged, and God Bless!

Good post! I like the instructions for requesting what we are praying for from God (praying 3 times a day, fasting) and most importantly, having a good and right standing with God. I think it’s hard to see others who are not seemingly living right and in God’s good standing getting exactly what we pray for and desire. But that’s not of our business, I guess lol. We just have to focus on our relationship with God.

Yes, focusing on our relationship with God is essential, and Matthew 6:33 sums it up: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Others may prosper and receive blessings from God that we desire, but fret not. God is not a respecter of persons, and he hears our petitions. We must keep trusting and believing after wholeheartedly seeking Him first. He will give the desires of our hearts in His destined time. May God’s grace, mercy, and favor be upon you. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this topic. God bless you.
