“Christmas Goodness!”

As I write this post, I am listening to the song “Mary Did You Know?” I wonder whether, at Jesus’ birth, Mary could even imagine the joy, peace and love her son would bring. He brought “Christmas Goodness!” to the world. That’s why He must be the center of Christmas. No one or nothing else holds the spot. Therefore, if you are hurting, lonely, or feel life’s burdens overwhelming you in this season, let the love of God hold you close. So much goodness surrounds this season, let it surround you.

Allow the message of His birth to soothe you. As I pass various places where homeless individuals dwell, I feel their pain and despair. A week ago, I had the opportunity to distribute a few gift bags from the Mothers’ Board at my church. For each individual I met, I reminded them of God’s love. They were grateful for the items and treats given. The smiles said it all.

Hence, through God’s grace, we are not living on the street, or missing meals or clothing, so why feel any discouragement? I just told you in the last post, “Christmas is Jesus!” The goodness of God is ever present in this season, regardless of our circumstances. I love Christmas. The joy it brings being with family and friends is because of God’s love. We are a few days from the real celebration, Christmas Day. May your hearts be merry and bright because of the gift that keeps on giving us what we need. “Christmas Goodness!”

I smile when I think of those two words. Why? Because God is our goodness, love, joy and peace in every situation. Smile! and hold onto God’s joy. If you are broke, experiencing health issues, lonely or whatever, think of God’s goodness toward yourself. Then you can truly experience “Christmas Goodness!”Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men! Psalm 31:19. I’ll return next week with a new post, “Almost There, But Not Yet!”
Be encouraged, and God bless!
