Each day brings new choices into our lives. We have some control over what kind of day we have. Naturally, God controls our life and allows us many options. For example, we can let outside forces and people make our day sad, or we can say not today, satan. Our relationships can affect our daily life and how we function each day. Do you ever stop and take a moment to think about what kind of day you would like to have? You can “Choose the Day!”
After all, we can accept or reject what will enhance our life with joy, peace, comfort, and love or send it in disarray with abusive, unkind, and unloving treatment. Hence the older I get, I see life as being more and more precious and fleeting. Therefore, I say, “Choose the Day!” Each day when we rise, we should do so with a smile and gratefulness in our hearts for another day of living. No matter how I may be feeling physically or emotionally. I choose happiness, joy, and peace over the craziness that can consume my life. What about you?
Consequently, what will you do if your life is less than joyful and each day brings more clouds than sunshine? Will you have a pity party and succumb to unhappiness day after day? Remember, God is in control, but He allows us choices and wants His children to experience joyfulness and peace in its fullness from time to time. Without a doubt, trouble, heartaches, and pain do not come without an ending time. “Choose the Day!” Choose life, joy, peace, and love. They will remain for a while before expiration.
Lastly, keep your head above the ground. Look up and live. Do you choose to have a great day today, or will someone else or other factors determine your day? Hmmm. I would love to hear about your day in the comments. Go and say unto David, Thus saith the Lord, I offer thee three things; choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee. 2 Samuel 24:12. The next three posts will focus on one of the 3 C’s in a relationship (Communication, Compromise, Commitment). Next week will be “Communication!”
Be encouraged, and God bless!
