“Almost There!”

As we come to the end of another year, let us thank and praise God for His loving kindness and mercy He continuously showers upon us. Today is a great time to look into our hearts and see how far along God has brought us. Accordingly, we should consider the choices and decisions we have made through reliance on God and those we took upon ourselves. There is no comparison, correct? God willing, we will cross over into a new year in a few days. We are “Almost There!” but not yet. Henceforth take nothing for granted.

Despite the trials and tribulations, heartache, heartbreak, loneliness, or pain any of us may have encountered this year, we are very blessed. Counting everything as joy may be difficult, but it aligns us with the pathway of victory. We can only be overcomers if we have hurdles to overcome. While we are breathing, there is time to make things right within ourselves and with others. Do you need to ask someone for forgiveness or forgive yourself for something? There is still time. Furthermore, my mother always said, “every year carries a number.” We have made it thus far by God’s grace and are “Almost There!” but not yet.

Therefore, just as we often look forward to another year with new resolutions, let us strive to end this one with a clean slate. Hence tying up loose ends with others through our relationships is essential. Before this year ends, ensure others know you love them and will support them when needed. Hold nothing against anyone in your heart. The new year will have its challenges, heartaches, and pain. Nevertheless, if we can move beyond this year’s problems, we can enter it with inner peace and joy. “Almost There!” with God’s grace and mercy!
The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger. Job 17:9. I’ll be back next week with a new post, “I Need More!”

Be encouraged, and God bless!
